So important is church attendance that new ways and means ought to be used to secure this objective. Here is one novel plan as reported under the heading, "Milk Bottles Promote Church Attendance." Church attendance is being stimulated by an annual campaign. Local dairies at Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, are capping milk bottles intended for home delivery with special tops bearing a "Go to the church of your choice" message. The special caps are affixed to milk delivered only on Saturday mornings. Printing of the caps is financed by the Kiwanis Club here. Yarmouth clergymen say the caps have helped increase attendance at Sunday morning and evening services. Why not devise some new plans and cause people to ACCEPT THE INVITATION TO COME TO CHURCH NEXT SUNDAY? —Rev. D. Carl Yoder. Our Preacher Says A man of character is like a kite in that it flies only when held in restraint; if the kite is given full liberty by cutting loose the line that holds it, it will fall and likely be crushed. Restraints of home keep the young from making a shipwreck of life; the restraints of a moral society help a man go right. The restraints of moral teaching as found in good books, especially the Bible, bind a man to right ways of living. The drawing power of God is a spiritual magnet producing life eternal. DO YOU KNOW ... 1. On what two occasions did Jesus state that he must suffer and die? 2. On what three occasions were Peter, James and John the only disciples with Christ? 3. What are the locations of the two Caeseras? 4. What was the Mountain of Transfiguration? 5. Why was Jesus called a "Nazarene"? DO YOU KNOW ANSWERED ... 1. See Mark 9:30 and Mark 10:32, 33. 2. Raising Jairus' daughter, the transfiguration and in Gethsemane. 3. The one is near Mt. Hermon, the other on the Mediterranean Sea. ANAHEIM FOURSQUARE 1317 West Broadway Rev. O. L. This question will be the Sunday Lesson-Sermon subject in all branches of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. The Golden Text is from Psalms: "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits; who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction." It is related in The Acts that Dorcas, a woman "full of good works and almadeeds which she did... was sick, and died." The disciples sent unto Peter, and "when he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping... But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up... And when he had called the saints and a lows, presented her alive." "The universal belief in death is of no advantage," writes Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Again she says, "The Christian Scientist has enlisted to lessen evil, disease, and death; and he will overcome them by understanding their nothingness and the allness of God, or good." A baby daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Johnson, 10894 Manchester boulevard, Anaheim, March 1, at Fullerton General hospital.
