County Vets
To Stage Rodeo;
Wild West Show
Some 30 Orange county Veterans of Foreign Wars posts are behind the plan to stage a mam-moth rodeo and wild west show at the Huntington Beach stadium on May 29, and by this time most of them have chosen their local candidates for "Queen of the Rodeo" to enter in the county-wide competition.
The VFW posts promise the greatest rodeo ever staged in Orange county, with world-famous cowboys on hand to ride the toughest string of wild horses in the country and to participate in the exciting and dangerous Brahma bull riding, bulldogging, roping, trick. riding and all the other colorful events so necessary to a top-ranking rodeo.
The big rodeo is being staged at Huntington Beach as a part of the annual Memorial Day celebrations in Orange county.
