Junior Ebell Club Plans Events,
Enjoy Yule Party December 11
Complete with a real-life personification of Santa Claus, a gala Christmas party was enjoyed by members of the Junior Ebell club last Tuesday evening at the club house under the general chairmanship of Mrs. James Morris. Mrs. Ray Ortez, Jr., club president, presided during the business session.
A festival Yule party, now a Junior Ebell tradition, will honor youngsters of club members December 18 at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
December 11 is a date highlighting the social calendar of members who plan to attend an informal dinner-dance at Los Serranos Country club, near Chino, beginning at 7 o'clock in the evening. Reservations still may be made by calling Mrs. Huston Kier, Anaheim 5144.
The men's night dinner will be held at the club house January 4. A banquet followed by a dance is scheduled for the occasion. Featured on the program will be Horace Ditchfield, well known handwriting analyst.
Plans are underway for the club's annual benefit Christmas party given for youngsters in the children's ward of the Orange county hospital. Unique decorations, delectable refreshments, a Santa Claus and gifts for all are on the agenda, club spokesmen stated.
The annual spring benefit fashion fantasy and bridge party will be held March 16, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the local club house.
Singing of Christmas carols was led during the entertainment portion of the program by Mrs. Richard Snow who was well disguised as a jolly Santa Claus. Piano accompaniment was provided by Elaine Schumacher. Recordings of Christmas records formed an appropriate background during the evening.
As each member arrived at the door she was presented with an artistic corsage. Prizes were awarded to winners of the card game, "Court Whist."
