CHRISTIAN SCIENCE "Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul." This quotation from the Psalms will be the Golden Text of the Sunday Lesson-Sermon on "Soul and Body" in all branches of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. In his Sermon on the Mount as recorded by Matthew, Jesus asserts. "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness." John declares in his first epistle, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy writes, "The denial of material selfhood altas the discernment of man's spiritual and eternal individuality, and destroys the erroneous knowledge gained from matter or through what are termed the material senses." Winifred Sloop, will help make up the estimated choirs of 300 at Fullerton. The large First Methodist and First Christian Churches' choirs of Fullerton will also be heard. Numerous individuals from cities in this area will also be heard in the Junior college Yule production. Identities of professional soloists, already engaged, will be announced to the public within a few days, Narramore added. Each year the college presents a symbolic pageant, either from an original script and score or from a famed traditional score as an annual project honoring the Christmas season. League Staging 'Gold Rush Days' Being acclaimed as a huge success is the "Gold Rush Days," special annual harvest-time bazaar being sponsored all today (Thursday) and this evening by the Anaheim chapter of the Orange County Assistance League at Ebell club house. All funds received from the affair will be turned into Assistance channels which are supported by the league, including welfare for "deserving needy," the cancer program, philanthropies, hospital equipment and scholarships for students, who, otherwise, would have no opportunity for university education. Special "Gold Rush Days" features the country store which is stocked with food supplies of grandmother's day, and booths attractive with beautiful hand-made articles including fabric painted gifts and a wide variety of unique and appropriate Christmas remembrances. The antique corner is centered around an old fashioned stove and antique organ. Rare specimens for gardeners are being featured at the plant corner and home-made sweets of expert creation and flavor are carried at the candy booth. Decorations are carried out in the Centennial theme and, more typically, the "Gold Rush Days" motif when gingham clad women stayed in town or on the homesteads while husbands went prospecting. Adding to the picturesque atmosphere is the chuck-wagon, an authentic vehicle loaned for the occasion which is serving detectable foods with the end-gate serving as a counter. Barrelled stools, knotty-legged tables are a part of the country store. For sale is the Assistance League cook book "chuck" full of recipes concocted to tantalize the palate of the entire family.
