No. A-16837 NOTICE TO CREDITORS Estate of Arthur Nestor Bevillard, also known as Arthur N. Bevillard, deceased. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the creditors of and all persons having claims against the said decedent or said estate to file them with the necessary vouchers in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of the County of Orange, State of California, or to present the same, with the necessary vouchers, to the undertenance operation or repairs; the repairing, restoring, or rebuilding of any school building damaged, injured or destroyed by fire or other public calamity; the supplying of school buildings with furniture or necessary apparatus of a permanent nature; the permanent improvement of the school grounds. The proceedings for the issuance of said bonds will be submitted for approval to O'Melveny and Myers, attorneys of Los Angeles, California, and the opinion of said attorneys will be furnished to the successful bidder without charge. All bids must be unconditional. A certified or cashier's check for a sum not less than three per cent (3%) of the par value of the bonds bid for, payable to the order of the Treasurer of the County of Orange, must accompany each bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if successful, will accept and pay for said bonds in accordance with the terms of said bonds, and such checks shall remain in the hands of said Treasurer until all of said bonds are paid for. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The total valuation of taxable property within said Katella School District is $10 million. Schedule FJC Registration Freshmen registration at Fullerton Junior college will begin with a 9 o'clock instruction session next Tuesday morning in the auditorium on the campus, corner of Chapman and Harward streets, Dr. H. L. Sheller, registrar stated. Formal "frosh" registration will be Wednesday and Thursday in temporary building No. 5, north of the Commerce building, while sophomores will be registered Friday. The annual student body membership fee of $10 will be collected during registration. The fee includes admission to athletic contests, dances and subscriptions to school publications. English and psychological examinations were given Freshmen on Tuesday evening. With 559 students enrolled in the spring, more than 700 applications received to date and no let up in the flow of those desiring admission, Dr. Sheller set the expected college enrollment for 1948-49 between 1350 and 1400. "This," he said, "is a conservative estimate." Formal instruction at the junior college will begin September 13. Mrs. Ranzinger Passes Away Thurs. Mrs. Margaret Ranzinger, 77, died last Thursday at an Orange hospital after a prolonged illness. A native of Germany, she had been a resident of America for 57 years, the last six of which she spent in California. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Anna Crane of Southgate and Mrs. Margaret Scott of Anaheim; one son, William Ranzinger of Fresno; one sister, Mrs. Jung of Germany; and seven grandchildren. Of the claims filed, 1119 were paid, the department said, and 159 were new claims. Throughout the state, there were 197,844 claims for insurance filed, a decrease from the 220,902 filed for the comparable week a year ago. Of these, 116,152 were paid, compared to 113,429 for the same week a year ago. The number of new claims filed was increasing on a state-wide basis. There were 22,587 filed for the week ending August 19 as compared to 19,956 for the same week a year ago.
