Other speakers were Knutzen discussing "The Boom in Visual Education" with J. C. Thompson acting as critic, and C. J. Stillson presenting "The Excitement of Professional Foot Racing" with Louis Taylor acting as critic. Taylor also served as general critic. Grammarian was Ken Heuler. Holve opened the program with the invocation. Page Vincent, guest of Marion Pickel, was introduced. Pickel, table topic chairman, talked on the topic "Marriages." There will be no meeting July 5, it was disclosed. Wire recordings of two minute prepared speeches by members will be a special at the July 12 meeting at the Grill. Each member was requested to have his talk ready. June 28, the regular session is scheduled with Ralph Alexander to be table topic master; John Knutzen, toastmaster; R. J. (Bob) Allen, evaluator, and C. J. Garshwiler, grammarian. Speakers will be Royal Marten, Victor Huber, Marion Pickel and Hursel Snyder. Stewart Rites Held Wednesday Funeral services were conducted for Chester A. Stewart, 51, Wednesday (yesterday) afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hilgenfeld chapel with the Rev. Howard S. Congdon, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. The Anaheim man died suddenly Sunday night at his home at 825 North Topeka street. Local Youngsters To Get Chance in Motion Pictures Anaheim youngsters from two years to 12 will get their chance to test for the motion pictures on Monday, June 28, through Wednesday, June 30, when a representative from Associated Production, Inc., of Hollywood will be at the Pickwick Hotel and will test as many as time will permit. A representative of the company stated they intend to shoot a number of scenes in this city for their picture which will go into production soon. Many of today's top motion picture stars were originally discovered through talent searches, according to Charles Richards, interviewed in his Hollywood offices where he is now casting another feature film, "Magic Valley." "Back in 1935," Richards said, "the Paramount picture 'Search For Beauty' lifted three unknowns to stardom, Ann Sheridan, Ida Lupino and Buster Crabbe." Richards, who has served as casting director on more than 400 feature films including, "Gone With The Wind," regards his present "Magic Valley" talent hunt as more spectacular even than the search conducted to find a Scarlett O'Hara. "For that role," he stated, "we tested practically every actress of stage and screen besides hundreds of unknowns, but our campaign was confined mainly to Hollywood, New York, London and Chicago, due to the large amount of time such a search consumes not to speak of the enormous expense involved. But now, instead of just looking for one, we are seeking for the 'Magic Valley' production 220 children to fill that number of typical American youngster roles. And this time we do not intend to overlook the medium-size towns in spite of the added cost. Because it is impossible for me to personally visit the various communities, test cameramen will photograph the children and our cast will be chosen from such photographs. We are confident that we will uncover star material equal to any ever found before." Stewart Rites Held Wednesday Funeral services were conducted for Chester A. A native of Michigan, Stewart had resided in California for 27 years and in Anaheim for the past four years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. D. Aleen Stewart; one daughter, Betty Anne Stewart of Los Angeles; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred W. Stewart of Garden Grove, and one brother, Glen W. Stewart of Compton. Interment was in Westminster Memorial Park. GAS CONSUMPTION An increase of nearly 9 percent in total gallonage of gasoline distributed April, as compared to the same period a year ago, brought tax revenues of $9,985,776, after refunds, to the State motor vehicle fuel fund, according to William G.
