Appropriate to the beautiful outdoor setting, a discussion on floral arrangements, "The Use of Flowers for Personal Adornment" was given by Wayne Andrade, owner of Wayne's For Flowers. Special guest was Mrs. Wilbert Bonney, incoming president of the Senior Ebell club of Anaheim. Also welcomed by members were Mrs. Clarence Neighbors' daughter-in-laws, Mrs. Beatty Neighbors and Mrs. Joe Neighbors, and Mrs. Smith's niece, Mrs. Frederich Rusch. A short business meeting was conducted during the morning also. A report by Mrs. C. W. Austin, retiring president, was read. She was unable to attend. Slate 'Telephone Hour' Broadcasts William Kapell, young pianist, will make his initial appearance on the Telephone Hour program, sponsored by the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph company, Monday evening, June 14, at 9 o'clock over NBC stations, R. J. Rossberg, manager of the local office, stated. Included in the versatile artist's program will be the first movement of Rachmaninoff's Concerto No. 2 in C Minor. Jascha Heifetz, world acclaimed voilinist, will appear June 21, same time, playing among other selections, two movements of the Sym- Elzio Pinza, distinguished Metropolitan basso, will complete the June series, the following Monday evening. He has scheduled Mozart's Madamina from "Don Giovanni" among his sonds. Last Monday, the well known prima donna, Gladys Swarthout, was featured singing a program of favorites including "The Piper O' Dundee," arranged by Kreisler. The 57-piece Bell Telephone orchestra, directed by Donald Voorhees, will present special musical interpretations and accompany the artists. Couple Enjoys Trip to Hawaii Tropical splendor was found by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moore 7232 Monroe street, Anaheim, who spent approximately one month touring the Hawaiian Islands, recently. Combining business with pleasure, the Anaheim woman, known professionally as Val Moore, instructor of Hawaiian dancing, studied authentic routines featured by the natives for generations. The couple was accompanied by a close friend, Mrs. Lucile Riggs, owner of the Circle L ranch, Ventura county. The trio resided at the Moana and the Pua Lei Lani hotels. Hula dances from ancient to somoan, bamboo, stick and stone modern times reviewed by Mrs. Moore, included the gourd, Tahitian, and gourd routines. After traveling by the Lurline, Mason line boat to the Islands the group returned via United Air Lines to San Francisco, where they transferred to another plane. Other officers seated included Archibald, vice-president; Miller, secretary, and Marte Harris, treasurer. Loris Flanigan of Fullerton, being president, presided during the short business meeting. A musical program was enjoyed by the group. In charge of the installation rites was Peggy Connors of Long Beach, an affiliate of the Long Beach branch of the Credit Woman's Breakfast Clubs of North America, and credit manager of Desmond's, Long Beach. The next regular meeting will be July 13. Any business woman interested in attending may contact the Credit Bureau, Anaheim 2248. Mrs. Martinez Dies Sunday Mrs. Jesus Martinez, 56, died Sunday, at the Santa Ana Community hospital. A native of Mexico, she had resided since 1918 at 205 Walnut street, Placentia. Recitation of Holy Rosary was Tuesday evening at 7:15 o'clock, in the Backs Campbell and Kaulbars chapel. Mass was held at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Placentia, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. She is survived by her Lucio Martinez; three sons Martinez of Placentia, Martinez of Santa Ana, nacio Martinez of the States Army; one daughter Caroline Rios of Placentia grandchildren, and on Mrs. Josephine Suarez of Missouri. Orteleno, 58, a resident of Stanton for 33 years, died last Thursday night at the Orange County hospital after a brief illness. She leaves her widower, Nabor Reyes; one daughter, Mrs. Cecilia Guebara, and four grandchildren, all of Stanton. Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held at Hilgenfeld chapel Friday night at 7:30 o'clock. Mass was conducted at the Stanton Catholic church, Saturday morning.
