At the same time, it scored "repugnant to American ideals and the principles of free education, and inimical to the best interests of the Republican party," the articles of incorporation Lieb's so-called "Young Republicans and Junior Republicans," Orange County." In its strongly-worded statement, framed at a committee meeting when the matter was brought to attention of committeemen, Lieb claim to presidency would brushed aside with the te declaration that "the committee will not recognize in any man said Joe Lieb, Jr. nor any of persons who formed said corporation." This incorporation, the central committee found, was to perpetrate in office Lieb and his aides. It actually sought to create classes of membership, one a "general class without vote" and another a "special class composed directors only who were given the exclusive right to vote.
