St. Agnes Guild Present Speakers For Program
St. Agnes Guild of St. Michael's church played host in the parish hall to its members and friends on Monday evening by presenting an inspirational religious triologue. The Rev. Philip Selfridge, pastor of the Evangelical-United Brethern church of Anaheim, Dr. Lawrence Allen, pastor of the First Baptist church of Orange and the Rev. John Kimball Saville, rector of St. Michael's Episcopal church, who acted as moderator, were the speakers of the evening. The topics discussed were as follows: "The Sacrament of Baptism and Communion"; "What is the Gospel? Who was Jesus Christ a Did He Do?"; "How is the Bible Inspired?"; and "How Was the World Created?" Speakers were given three minutes on each topic after which questions were in order.
Each topic brought out a lively session of questions and discussions and the beliefs of the three churches represented were fully compared. For example, the Baptist church does not baptize infants but dedicate them at an early age and later when they are old enough to choose for themselves they are baptized into the church. The Episcopal church baptizes the infant and when they reach maturity they are confirmed into the church. After some discussion it was decided that the ideas back of each religion were very much the same, the main difference being in the terminology used.
The balance of the topics were given the same searching analysis which proved to be of interest and benefit to those in attendance. Directress Ethel Caverley welcomed all to the meeting and Program Chairman Lois Warwick was highly applauded for her work in making the arrangements for a fine program. Refreshments were served at the close by the Guild.
Parent-Tea Hear Dr. Ekciss Youth
Dramatic psychology is on curing a cause rat... than a symptom in all phases of treatment and in guiding the adolescent, according to Dr. Ralph G. Ekert, chief of the bureau of Parent Education of California. "Guiding the adolescent is found to be amusing and stimulating," he commented, as he addressed a record attendance of Anaheim high school parents and teachers in the study hall last Tuesday evening.
The rapid pattern of change in culture, antiquates the old adage parents of the present younger generation were taught, "As long as you live under my roof you do as I say," stated Dr. Ekert.

The rapid pattern of change in culture, antiquates the old adage parents of the present younger generation were taught, "As long as you live under my roof you do as I say," stated Dr. Ekert.
The modern psychology of the adolescent is found by affection in the home, plentiful praise, but not flattery, and fulfilling a need for security. Affection and understanding are the keys to changing an unsatisfactory symptom or behavior pattern into a well balanced one, he continued.
The common belief that the adolescent child is lazy is inaccurate, the speaker said. This "laziness" is either due to the teen-ager's feeling of defeat or to sickness.
Parents too, he stressed, should cultivate the capacity of appreciation, and understanding. If psychological adults, parents can compromise and agree with their youngsters and be an inspiration to them, through a close bond of companionship and respect. Teenagers like to be on an easy level with adults and treated as such.
ARTHRITIS
This is perhaps the most widespread and the most painful and crippling disease known throughout the world today.
It has been rightly called "The Great rippler."
Most treatments merely alleviate the symptoms. Our treatment REMOVES THE AUSE thereby allowing nature to step in and assist in the restoration of health.

However, he added, when adolescents stop asking questions it is best for the parents to ask.
Exual education should not be burdened as a sin and shame, as former times, Dr. Ekert stresses that should be discussed, as are other methods of study in schools.
