Quiet simplicity marked the wedding of Miss Virginia Rose Scott, daughter of Mrs. James R. Scott of 624 North Drake avenue, Fullerton, and Leo Henry Kluthe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kluthe of 522 South Palm street, Anaheim, Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock in the sanctuary of St. Boniface Catholic church, with the Rev. Fr. James Gallagher, reciting the nuptial Mass.
Enhancing the bride's loveliness was her pearl, gray dressmaker suit accented with black accessories and a single strand of pearls, a gift from her bridegroom.
Given in marriage by her uncle, Charles P. Scott of Fullerton, she carried a hybrid Cattelya orchid resting on a muff of maidenhair fern.
The young couple plighted their troth before an altar arranged with white gladioli and lighted cathedral candelabra. More than 40 immediate family relatives and close friends witnessed the ceremony.

Preceding the ceremony, William Fackiner, nuptial soldist, interpreted "Ave Maria" by Grieg and Franck's "Panis Angelicus" accompanied by Mrs. A. F. Faust at the console of the organ. Mrs. Faust also played incidental prelude selections.
Congratulations were extended to the newlyweds during the wedding breakfast in the Rose Room at Mother Colony House immediately following the ceremony.
The young couple left for a two week honeymoon trip to San Francisco and Lake Tahoe. Upon their return they will reside in Fullerton in the Scott home on Drake avenue.
A graduate of Fullerton schools and the University of California at Los Angeles, the bride is associated with McCoy and Mills headquarters in Fullerton. She has been an alumnus of the Chi Omega sorority for the past 18 months.

Reunion For Veteran Trio
A two-day trip "south of the border" was enjoyed by Walt Andrade of this city, Bill Spalding and Fred Kidd both of No Hollywood, during the Labor Day holiday.
The trio left Anaheim early Sunday, viewed the sights of Micali, Mexico, where Andrade and Spalding had been stationed while the Marine corps during the cent war, and then toured Imperial Valley.
An ex-army man, and friend Spalding, Kidd met Andrade El Centro while in the service Now associated with the Val Times, he was formerly stationed for a year in Yuma, Arizona. Centro was included in the week-end agenda also. They staged at the Barbara Worth hotel that city and enjoyed the house specialty, a deluxe steak dinner and all the trimmings.

A graduate of Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, grade schools, and Cheyenne Wells high school in Colorado, the bridegroom has been sales manager for the Cone Chevrolet company in Fullerton for the past eight years. During the recent war he served in the Atlantic theater of action with the United States Army.
Kluthe is affiliated with the Fullerton American Legion Post, No. 142.
Launch Plans For Valedors' Sport Dance
Soft lights and catchy rhythms interpreted by Sonny Whitman of Fullerton and his orchestra will highlight the fall sport dance, to be sponsored by the Valedor club, young people's group of St. Boniface Catholic church, September 19, in the Anaheim Ebell club house. Co-general chairmen are John Heinz and Wayne Andrade.
Catholic young people and guests are being invited from Fullerton, Orange, Santa Ana, Newport Beach, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa and Whittier.
Committee chairmen include Mary Lieb, refreshments; Ruth Gragg, decorations; Francis Patin, publicity and invitations, and Leo Waldman, door prizes.

Los Miguelitos Enjoy Weekend In Green Valley
A varied weekend at Green Valley mountain resort, between Los Miguelitos, St. Michael's Epicopal church. The group left Anaheim early Sunday and returned Monday night after residing at the cabin arranged for them by Mrs. R. A. Patrick.
Swimming, hiking, lots of food and dancing in Green Valley looms were enjoyed.
Those present included LeRoy and Leonard Harvill of Santa Ana Canyon, Wanda Chambers of Cress press, Cathleen Austin, Art Hanks, Margaret Garrett, Tom Ainsworth, Paul Harrison and Mr. and Ms. Dan Dodge, all of Anaheim.
Toastmistress' Meet Tonight
Members of the Toastmistress club of Anaheim will gather for the first fall meeting of this year in the health department office at the city hall, tonight, Thursday, 7:30 o'clock, with Mrs. Margaret Freeman, president, presiding.
Speaker for the night will Mrs. Paul Doyle. Each officer will present a resume of her summer activities, it was disclosed. Officers, in addition to Mrs. Freemann include Mrs. S. K. Watters, vice president; Mrs. L. M. Litchterwalter, treasurer, and Mrs. Frank Gilbert, secretary.
Highlighting the club's calendar is the county picnic scheduled next Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock in Santiago park, San Ana. Superior Judge Franklin West will be the guest speaker.

Off to a flying start is the Visiting Nurses' Association of Oran County. The service, offered by the county public health department, had been rapidly expanded into the northern and central sections of the county since its inauguration August 1, 1947.
The association boasts five full-time registered nurses. Salary data provided by Yuma County Bureau of Public Health.

Union For Veteran Trio
Two-day trip "south of the city" was enjoyed by Wayne dee of this city, Bill Spalding and Fred Kidd both of Northwood, during the Labor Day holiday.
Trio left Anaheim early day, viewed the sights of Mexico, where Andrade and King had been stationed with marine corps during the rever, and then toured Imperialley.
Ex-army man, and friend of king, Kidd met Andrade in entro while in the service. Associated with the Valley he was formerly stationed year in Yuma, Arizona. Elo was included in their end agenda also. They stay the Barbara Worth hotel in city and enjoyed the house's city, a deluxe steak dinner all the trimmings.

Civic Grand Opera Billing Here This Saturday
Last minute arrangements are now underway for the premier presentation of the Los Angeles Civic Opera Association in Anaheim Saturday night at 8 o'clock in the high school auditorium. The traditional double bill of "Cavalieria Rusticana" by Mascagni and "Pagliacci" by Leoncavallo will be featured under the general direction of Maestro M. Campanella.
To be interpreted in their entirety, the operas will be marked by special lighting effects, elaborate costumes, orchestra and colorful scenery.
Maestra Francisco Camacho Vega of Palacio de Bellas Artes, Mexico, and XEO radio station, Mexico City, will conduct both operas assisted by Elmer Bramel, choral master.
The cast of "Cavalieria Rusticana" includes Norman Locke as "Santuzza"; Michaele Foster interpreting "Turiddu"; Estelle Miller, "Lola"; Enrico Porta, "Alfio," and Rita Bowman, "Mamma Lucia."
Appearing in "Pagliacci" will be Ignacio Flores Galindo as "Canio"; Maria de la Vega, "Nedda"; Enrico Porta, "Tonio"; Francis Barnes, "Silvio"; and John La Monica of Santa Ana portraying "Beppe."
A monthly production of an outstanding opera is planned for this community by the Los Angeles Civic Grand Opera Association. "Carmen" by Bizet has just been announced as next month's presentation by Maestro Campanella. Verde's "La Traviata" is scheduled for the following month.
Great Trip To Davis Reported By 4-H Clubbers
Orange county's delegation to the 27th annual convention of 4-H clubs at Davis returned this week with stories of an exceptionally interesting trip.
In charge of the delegation to the convention, which was held at the College of Agriculture were Mrs. Ivan Elliott, 4-H club leader, and H. W. Longfellow of the Agricultural Extension Service.
Friday was spent at the State Fair at Sacramento. The 1100 delegates, from all over the state, had dinner with the California Farm Bureau Federation and were introduced to Governor Earl Warren, who praised them as being one of the most outstanding youth organizations in America. The 4-H Club members provided a part of the evening program at the State Fair before a packed audience.
Lectures and demonstrations by prominent scientists and teachers were given to the club members during their stay at the college.
William Rosedale of the Yorba Linda 4-H Club was selected as one of the group leaders at the convention.
PFC. WEBER COMPLETES COURSE AT EL TORO
Pfc. Richard G. Weber, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Weber of 925 North Zeyn street, Anaheim, has completed the 16 week course in the Marine Aviation Clerical and Administrative school at the El Toro Marine Air Corps station. A graduate of Anaheim Union high school, Pfc. Weber enlisted in the Marine Corps in September, 1946, and received his recruit training in San Diego.

Morning services were held 11 o'clock Tuesday in the chapel with Rev. Jose Roos pastor of the Bethesda Precinctian church of Los Angeles charge. He officiated for graveside services in Evidence cemetery on Brooklyn avenue mediately later.

There are many music lovers in the communities of Orange county that deserve the opportunity to hear and become familiarized with the beautiful operas written by our well known composers."

A medical advisory committee has been set up including Dr. Mil-dred Wehrly, chairman; Dr. Lloyd A. Burrows of Anaheim; Dr. Margaret A. Davis, Santa Ana; Dr. H. F. Galbraith, Fullerton; Dr. D. L. Mayes, Orange, and Dr. Ralph E. Hawes of Huntington Beach. This committee has assisted the nursing committee in setting up rules governing the care of patients and regulation of fees.
A visit from a registered nurse is available by calling Anaheim 3090. The association has its headquarters in the Civic Center, 1104 West Eighth street, Santa Ana.
Regular charge of the VNA is $2.00 per call with part-pay visits adjusted to the family income and free visits to those unable to pay.

Refreshed after a three-day trip to their cabin at Arrowhead, over the Labor Day holiday, are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Henning and son, Howard, of Santa Ana Canyon. They returned to their spacious new home Monday night.
THE PHIL SEGRAIS' ENJOY MEXICO TRIP
Phil Segrais, manager of the Schulz Furniture Co., and family have returned from a well earned vacation trip. Part of the time was spent below the border as far south as Ensenada, Baja California. Phil reports that his wife and grandson enjoyed the Mexican coastline very much and that the weather down there was much cooler than at home.

Emilia Limon Services Held
Mrs. Emilia Valenzuela de Limon, 65, died after a prolonged illness at the home of a friend, 28 East First street, Los Angeles, Friday afternoon at 3:30 clock, just before a K. and M. ambulance arrived to take her to Joseph hospital, Orange.

Those surviving include four daughters, Carmen Lizarraga of Anaheim, Mrs. Lila Montiel ofrea, Mrs. Esther Montiel of Brea and Sally Maccri of Fullerton; four sons, Albert Limon and someo Le Mon both of Los Angeles, Lupe Limon and Jesse Limon both of Fullerton; one sister, Mrs. Beatriz Valenzuela deontengro of Los Angeles; one brother, Angel Valenzuela also of Los Angeles and seven grandchildren.
Evening funeral services were conducted in Capilla Bagues, 4221 Brooklyn avenue, Los Angeles, at 80 o'clock Monday, with Rev. Angelo Arbizu, pastor of a Four Square Spanish church in that city officiating.
Morning services were held at o'clock Tuesday in the Bagues capel with Rev. Jose Rodriguez, pastor of the Bethesda Presbyterian church of Los Angeles, in large. He officiated for theaveside services in Evergreen cemetery on Brooklyn avenue immediately.
MWD Water For Whole Santa Ana Basin Proposed
Representatives of Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino county supervisors last week considered joining the Metropolitan Water District to combat rapid depletion of their water resources.
J. J. Pendergast president of the Santa Ana River Water association, made the proposal at a meeting held in Riverside.
