This verse from Jude will be the Golden Text of the Sunday Lesson-Sermon on "God" in all branches of The Mother Church. The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. According to Mark's Gospel a woman "which had an issue of blood twelve years. And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse. When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; ... And Jesus, looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling ... fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague." Recommend $20,000,000 Sewer System To Serve All of County 40 Years A county-wide sewage disposal system to cost a total of $20,000,000 and adequate to serve the anticipated needs of the county for 40 years was envisaged in a report presented Tuesday to the county board of supervisors by a board of eminent sanitary engineers who have been a year gathering data and reaching their conclusions. Engineers who have worked on the report include Chief Engineer A. M. Rawn of the Los Angeles county sanitation district, Dean Franklin Thomas of the California Institute of Technology, Charles Gilman Hyde of the University of California, Principal Engineer Ewald Lemcke of the Orange county outfall sewer district, Assistant Engineers Vinton Bacon and Harvey Ludwig and Engineers Gordon Ludwig and John Parkhurst. The report recommended that ten federated sanitary districts be formed in the county after the plan successfully followed in Los Angeles county. Districts 1 to 8 would cover the central and western portions of the county. District 9 would take care of sewage disposal along the south coast and District 10 would serve the Silverado canyon area. Largest single project for which permit was applied was a $36,000 addition to the Essex Wire company plant on North Olive street. CRAIG VISITING PARENTS HERE Mrs. Welton Craig formerly of Anaheim, a daughter Diane and visiting her parents Mr. Herman F. Strandt, of Broadway. Engineers Gordon Ludwig and John Parkhurst. The report recommended that ten federated sanitary districts be formed in the county after the plan successfully followed in Los Angeles county. Districts 1 to 8 would cover the central and western portions of the county, District 9 would take care of sewage disposal along the south coast and District 10 would serve the Silverado canyon area. Two trunk lines would serve Districts 1-8 and terminate in a 78 inch outfall sewer extending 15,000 yards into the ocean from the mouth of the Santa Ana river. A study of ocean currents, it was said, indicated this would carry the sewage effluent far enough away from shore to eliminate any likelihood of beach pollution. A 2000 foot line would serve the south coast areas but would require the retention of the effluent at certain hours when the currents set shoreward. Provision was also made for removal of the sewage treating plant nearer the shore line to serve the rapidly growing beach cities. Studies indicated, it was reported, that the tax levy in districts 1-8 would begin in 1950 at 69 cents and drop in the end to 3 cents. In District 9 the estimate was 85 cents down to 7 cents and in District 10, $2 down to 15 cents. One reason for the high tax in the Silverado canyon area was that sewage in that district must be sunk in the sand after treatment.
