Rossi as field secretary for the organization. Rossi has been active in California agricultural circles for many years, and is well known for his work with the California Farm Production Council as the Northern Area Supervisor from 1943 to 1947. He was particularly successful in obtaining labor housing in connection with his work on the Farm Production Council. Silveria Deas Death Saturday Silveria Deas, 91 years of age, passed away at her home in Colonial Independence on Saturday, March 8. Born in Mexico she had lived in Independence colony for ten years and in California for the past 27 years. Surviving are two sons, Lorenzo Deas of Independence colony, and Jesus Deas of San Francisco; one daughter, Mrs. Maria Rodriguez of Mexico; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, all in Mexico.
