CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
The Golden Text of the Sunday Lesson-Sermon on "Man" in all branches of the Mother Church. The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston is chosen from Romans, "As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God."
It is recorded in Matthew's Gospel that "one came and said unto" Jesus, "Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none but good but one, that is, God; but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments ... The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what look I yet? Jesus said unto him. If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come and follow me."
In the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes:
"We cannot 'serve two masters'"
"Having no other gods, turning to no other but the one perfect Mind to guide him, man is the likeness of God, pure and eternal, having that Mind which was also in Christ."

COIN CATCHERS FOUND BL LOCAL GENDARMES
Three parking meter heads, cash intact, were discovered Saturday at the siding of Crone avenue, just west of Loara road by Anaheim police. Three headless parking posts will retrieve their coin catchers. Evidently the thieves did not have a strong "can opener."

FLY-TYING CLASS
When many members and friends of the Anaheim Izaak Walton league exclaim, "Boy, what a beauty," they are referring to flys eing created each Monday night at 7:30 o'clock at the special fly-tying class conducted by Bob Williams Sports Shop on West Broadway. Bass flies and bugs, crappie bugs and streamers and "go-get-ers" are among the many fancy varieties now being fashioned. Charlie Evans is the instructor, assisted by "Ike" Waltons Bob Williams and Monte Webb. A cordial invitation is extended by the group to anyone wishing to join. Class sessions close May 1.
The old New Year's refrain,
"Out With the Old; In With the New," might well be adopted by the Southern California Telephone company, which last week distributed crisp new 1947 directories throughout the county, collecting a portion or at least the fragmentary remains of the 1946 edition.
