B. and P. W. Enjoy Gala Xmas Party
To the strains of an old French organ, 25 members and guests of the Anaheim Business and Professional Woman's club gathered to sing traditional Christmas carols, discuss the recent Exhibit Unique, exchange gifts and enjoy a social evening at the home of Mrs. Marguerite Coons on South Olive street last night, Wednesday.
The financial report on the Exhibit Unique was presented by Miss Florence Davis during the short business session. Charities to which the organization will contribute will be decided at the next business meeting, January 8.
Gaily wrapped gifts were heaped beneath a white Christmas tree by the members. They will be presented to the Old Men's Annex of the Orange county hospital.
Many attractive and useful Christmas gifts were exchanged by the members, with Mrs. Olive Shoemaker, president playing "Santa Claus". She also played the organ accompaniment for the carol singing.
Personifying winter holiday spirit were the red candles in pine holders on the mantle flanking a tiny Christmas house and snowmen skaters. Red candles graced the buffet table which was set with silver service.
Delectable refreshments of French apple pie topped with whipped cream, salted nuts, cheese, tea and coffee were served with Mrs. Shoemaker and Mrs. Merna Hopkins presiding at the urns.
Mrs. Shoemaker graciously extended her thanks to all those who exhibited their rare keepsakes and collections at Exhibit Unique and to all those who assisted with arrangements.

Modern Gas Refrigeration
THE problem of food preservation has been a serious one since mankind first began to give thought to matters of diet.
Old-fashioned methods of refrigeration which were never really adequate or safe need no longer be trusted with the job of protecting the family’s health for, by means of liquefied petroleum gas, the most modern of all types of refrigeration is available in all parts of the country.
