Home Relations
Highly Important
Individual privileges, responsibilities and privacy were listed as the three prime factors contributing to good family relationships by Marion Prentiss, Home Demonstration Agent for Orange county.
The importance of the home during the formative childhood years increases as the world grows more complex, she remarked. A planned pattern of responsibility helps to avoid a feeling of being imposed upon among the "younger generation" and helps to develop the feeling of independence of others. She concluded with three rules for a child's work program: a self-selected task, a self-created plan and freedom to use one's own plans for work.

Jesse L. Elliott Is The Best Sheriff Oran County Ever Had!
He is recognized as a sheriff, not only by his own police departments but also various Orange county cities which there has been spice cooperation, but he is also named as a capable, honest tireless law enforcement by peace officers throughout state.
That was exemplified with 1944 the California State Sheriff's Association elected president.
That was a distinction highest character because chosen as leader by men can best appreciate the work a sheriff. These men were sheriffs of all the counties state. To be singled out such an office, by such a man is an enviable recognition.
Sheriff Elliott Honored by Governor Earl W.
Another high tribute to Sheriff Elliott's integrity and service was his selection, by Governor Earl Warren, as vice-man of the California Law Enforcement Advisory Committee group, headed by the Chief of Police of the City of San Francisco is composed of the outstanding peace officers of the state, or by the Governor with the task of raising the standards of forcement throughout California.
Elliott was chosen for the post by the Governor for the standing efficiency of the Orange County Sheriff's office in the period that Elliott has been Sheriff.
Respected in His Home Community
In his own community, Elliott is respected because he agent, tireless, and in the devotion to the duties of his off-duty unseat him, he gives little time to politics. A large group loyal and determined friends, people from every walk of life actively in the field to re-elect the BEST SHERIFF ORAN COUNTY EVER HAD.
These friends say that the Sheriff adheres to the axion "A man who knows and follows his chosen profession never time to criticise his competitors or to quarrel with his neighbor."
They recall that in 1942 the grand jury, after a complaint...
Wrap 227 Xmas Presents for Hospitalized Vets
Stacked on a long table and reaching nearly to the ceiling were 227 gaily wrapped Christmas packages, each containing three useful and attractive gifts for hospitalized service men. The decorative project was accomplished by members of the Anaheim American Legion Auxiliary, under the direction of Mrs. Margaret Boysen, Red Cross chapter camp and hospital chairman and junior pas auxiliary president.
The "wrapping bee" was completed last Friday night. The presents will be boxed and shipped to Red Cross, Area office, San Francisco, to be evenly distributed. The gifts were sent to the local headquarters, second floor of the city hall, from the tri-counties camp and hospital council of the American Red Cross.
The slavery question in the United States became a factor in American politics during the administration of President Andrew Jackson.
Respected in His Home Community
In his own community, Elliott is respected because he gent, tireless, and in the devotion to the duties of his office gives unstintingly of his time. Today, in the heat of a call to unseat him, he gives little time to politics. A large group loyal and determined friends, people from every walk of life actively in the field to re-elect the BEST SHERIFF ORANGE COUNTY EVER HAD.
These friends say that the Sheriff adheres to the axiom "A man who knows and follows his chosen profession never time to criticise his competitors or to quarrel with his neighbors." They recall that in 1942 the grand jury, after a complex vey and analysis of the Sheriff's office, forwarded this recommendation to Elliott:
"We highly commend you for the manner is which yourance is given, and for the way in which you and your men are ting in extra hours, night and day, whenever necessary, benefit and protection of the citizens of Orange County."
The commendation was signed for the grand jury by Launer, its foreman.
Crime Wave Held in Check
Official statistics show that Orange County has had the best proportionate rise in crime of any county in the state. Statistics also show that our Sheriff's office has done by most effective work in apprehending criminals, in solving and safe-guarding life and property. These statistics also show the lowest rate of juvenile delinquency for Orange County.
THE RECORD PROVES THAT ELLIOTT IS THE SHERIFF ORANGE COUNTY EVER HAD.
IT WOULD BE FOLLY FOR A BOARD DIRECTORS OF A LARGE BUSINESS CORRATION TO DISMISS ONE OF ITS GENERAL MANAGERS WHO HAD PROVEN WORTH, EFFICIENCY AND ABSOLUTE ALTY, SO THAT A MAN, INEXPERIENCE AND UNTRIED, POSSESSING ONLY A SIRE FOR THE JOB, MIGHT REPLACE ORANGE COUNTY IS A CORPORATE OF WHICH THE PEOPLE ARE THE BOYS OF DIRECTORS!
They KNOW that it would be folly to TRADE EXPENSE FOR EXPERIMENT. FOR THAT REASON they re-elect Sheriff Jesse L. Elliott.
