To Build Baptist Church in Cypress Approximately 100 members of the Baptist faith residing in Cypress have pledged to become charter members of the new Cypress Community Baptist church, it was reported by Rev. Romey E. Black, minister. Rev. Black, former minister and organizer of the Grace Baptist church of that city, resigned his position there recently to begin the new church in Cypress. More than 150 persons are expected to pledge themselves as charter members by the time the former organization is completed. Arrangements have been made for a two week tent revival meeting following which regular Sunday school and church services will be conducted every Sunday morning and evening. After organization, the Cypress church will become a member of the Southern California Baptist Convention. Rev. Wright passed away at the family home at 737 North Claudina street on Wednesday, Oct. 15, and funeral rites will be conducted on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Born in Alexandria, Indiana, she had been a resident of Anaheim for the past 15 years. Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Edward H. Wright of the home; two brothers, Saul Perry of Alabama, and Edward Perry of Long Beach; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Heritage of Indiana, Mrs. Ethel Richmond of Florida and Mrs. Nora Berg of Indiana; four nieces and one nephew all of Indiana. The funeral services, which will be held in the chapel of Backs, Campbell and Kaulbars mortuary, will be conducted by the Rev. Howard S. Congdon, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of this city. Chapman, manager of the Los Angeles Veterans Administration regional office from Dr. Forrest G. Bell, medical director for Branch 12, disabled California veterans may now have medical prescriptions filled without charge at their local pharmacy. A contract has been negotiated Farm Advisor Moves to New Santa Ana Office The new address of the Agricultural Extension Service which includes the Farm Advisor's and Home Demonstration Agents' offices with the California Pharmaceutical association, of which more than half of the state's 3,371 drugstores are members, which will allow the immediate supplying of drugs and medical requisites anywhere in the state. Payments will be made by the Veterans administration. The CPA contract complements a similar arrangement signed early this year with the California Physicians Service which provides home town medical treatment for veterans at VA expense. Prescriptions of any physician authorized to treat a veteran will be honored. Certain sickroom supplies also come under terms of the contract.
