OUR BOYS WITH THE COLORS Manuel J. Alcaraz United States Bound Pvt. First Class Manuel J. Alcaraz, age 26, husband of Mrs. Eleanor S. Alcaraz, who with their three children, Lupe, age 3; Junior, age 2; and Franky, age 3 months, of 409 South Clementine street, Anaheim, Calif., recently passed through the 25th replacement depot on Okinawa for processing prior to returning to the United States. Pfc. Alcaraz entered the army June 3, 1944, at Fort MacArthur, and departed for overseas in February, 1945. While on Okinawa he served with the 325th AAA Searchlight battalion. Before entering the service, Pfc. Alcaraz was employed as a truck driver by the Anaheim Truck and Transfer company, Anaheim. Buena Park Man Home for Christmas Receiving his honorable discharge papers the 8th of this month, from San Pedro separation center was Charles Rex Dil- lahunty, USNR, aviation metalsmith, (T)V6, is home now with his wife Lavina Belle, at Buena Park for the holidays, and beginning civilian work at El Toro Marine base. Previous to his enlistment, three years ago, he was employed at Lockheed Aircraft, Burbank, California. Local Cavalryman Serves in Tokyo WITH THE 1ST CAVALRY DIVISION IN-TOKYO—Pfc. Paul J. Remland of Anaheim, is among the men who recently joined the Eight Army's 1st Cavalry division in Tokyo. Private Remiand, formerly with the 27th Infantry division, has been assigned to F troop, 8th Cavalry regiment. Overseas since July, 1945, he took his basic training at Camp Roberts. Before entering the service in December, 1944, he was working on a farm with his father and, upon receiving his discharge, he plans to return to farming. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Remland, reside on route 1 near Anaheim. Sgt. David Stirton Is Enroute Home PEARL HARBOR, T. H.—Sgt. David A. Stirton, son of Mrs. Josephine Stirton of Anaheim, is on his way home. Stirton is one of 2,000 high-point Army veterans whom the "Magic Carpet is bringing back to the states aboard the U.S.S. Hanover. The U.S.S. Hanover—more than 250 carriers, ships, cruisers, and attack ports in the Navy's famed Carpet" fleet—left Okinawa december 3, and is scheduled rive in Seattle, about Dec. 15.
