This question is the subject of the Sunday Lesson-Sermon in all branches of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. The Golden Text is from Jeremiah: "Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise." A Scriptural passage from Luke relates that a ceturion sent the elders of the Jews unto Jesus "beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant." And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: . . . neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed." And Jesus "said unto the people that followed him, I say unSgt. Ray Booher Awarded Second Oak Leaf Cluster Sgt. Ray G. Booher, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: . . neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed." And Jesus "said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick." Mary Baker Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures:" "Disease is an experience of so-called mortal mind. It is fear made manifest on the body. Christian Science takes away this physical sense of uscord, just as it removes any other sense of moral or mental inharmony." "The sick are not healed merely by declaring there is no sickness, but by knowing that there is none." Anaheim Airman Distinguishes Himself in Action 15TH AAF IN ITALY—S/Sgt. Franklin E. Ausburn of Route 2, Anaheim, has just flown his 35th combat mission with a veteran 15th Army Air Force heavy bombardment group stationed in Italy. To reach their targets, Sgt. Ausburn and his crew have had to fly missions of eight and nine hours duration, at altitudes of more than four miles, through a numbing cold where the temperature reached thirty to fifty degrees below zero. Often when they arrived at the targets, they had to repel aggressive attacks from desperate and determined enemy fighters, and had to make their bombing runs through heavy, intense and accurate flak barrages. Penetrating deep into enemy territory, Sgt. Ausburn has participated in attacks against Axis-held rail and communications centers, oil fields and refineries, airdromes and aircraft factories and other vital targets throughout the Balkans and southern Europe. There may be "milk-runs" somewhere but, from his own personal knowledge, Ausburn can aver that they aren't in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. Sgt. Ausburn, an armorer gunner, is a graduate of Anaheim Union High school. A former assembler for the Douglas Aircraft Co. in Santa Monica, Cal., he entered the service at Santa Ana Army Air Base, Oct. 27, 1943, and attended the AAF Armament School; Lowry Field, Colo., and the AAF Aerial Gunnery School; Harlingen, Tex. He holds the Air Medal with two oak leaf clus- Monty' Griffith Reported Missing In Recent Action Another sorrow has come to the George Griffith home on Highway 101 just south of Los Angeles St., through a telegram from the War department that says "Monty" is missing in action after a flight mission over Germany. He is Cpl. Mountford Griffith of the U.S. Army Air Corps. His twin brother, Lt. George Griffith, Jr., navy bomber pilot lost his life last October somewhere in the south Pacific. "Monty" has been overseas since Feb. 17 and according to the word his family received last week-end he has been missing since March 19. Two other sons are in the armed forces, Cpl. Dick Griffith who is in Italy and Harry who left home last Sunday for Kansas where he will report for duty with a B-29 crew. HEARS FROM SON Mr. and Mrs. Walter Herman of 940 North Palm street have received word that their son, Wilbur, is now in a rest camp following participation in the Ruhr valley battle. He writes that he is feeling fine and as his family had no word from him in over three months they are greatly relieved. OVERSEAS ADDRESS Address of Sgt. James W. Patrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A.
