ORANGE MAN HELD ON BAD CHECK CHARGE Arrested on a warrant issued out of Anaheim justice court, Paul C. Etzold of Orange is held in Orange county jail under $1000 bond, charged with issuing checks with intent to defraud. Al Brunet, Anaheim restaurant proprietor as complainant, charged that Etzold had presented a $30 check which Brunet, cashed and which later was returned to him marked "n.s.f." and that includes Electrical Appliances! Rotary club will observe Ladies' Night on March 13 in Ebell club- Funeral Rites Held For Conrad Musch Death again invaded the ranks of well-known business men of Anaheim with the passing on Thursday, Feb. 24 of Conrad A. Musch at his home, 559 South Indiana street. Funeral rites were conducted for him Saturday afternoon in the Hilgenfeld chapel, with the Rev. A. L. Horn, pastor of Salem Evangelical church, officiating. Burial was in Anaheim cemetery. Mr. Musch, who was born in Germany 70 years ago, came to this country when he was a young man, and had lived in Anaheim and its vicinity for the past 32 years. For many years he was owner and proprietor of the Fine and Dandy cafe on North Los Angeles street, noted for the excellence of its cuisine. His failing health caused him to close the cafe within the past few months, and his decline has been steady since that time until leath came last Thursday. Active in fraternal orders, he was a member of Anaheim lodge BPOE and Sons of Herman. Surviving relatives include with the widow, Mrs. Pauline Musch of the home, three daughters; three sons and five grandchildren. The daughters are Mrs. Byron Dahl, Mrs. Dale Dawson and Miss Violet Musch, all of this city. The sons are Paul Musch of Buena Park, Roy Musch of Fullerton, and Howard Musch now with the armed forces. Toastmasters Hold Second Program Of Popular Course Second of the series of Speechcraft course programs introduced last week by Toastmasters club, was held Tuesday night at the Parker House, with a good attendance of local business men and civic leaders who have registered for the eight weeks' course. President Richard Clowes conducted the business session, and announced that men interested in the course may still enroll, since happenings of the two preceding meetings will be summed up later for the benefit of late comers to the group. Bob Morter served as toastmaster of the evening, and the table topic which aroused lively discussion, was "What Shall We Do With Italy?" with Royal Marte leading the talks. Harwood Larson won the Patterson trophy for the best speech of the evening when he talked on "Developing Self Confidence." Paul Demaree speaking on "The Facts About Fear," was his closest competitor. Others speakers and their themes were, Paul Blocher, "Caribbean Colonies"; Paul Jungkeit, "The Public School of Tomorrow," and Richard Clowes, "Finland at the Crossroads."
