Lynn Bush To Wed Virginia Selves On November 28
Lynn Bush, S 2/c, son of Mrs. Mahalie Bush of 119 East Alberta street, and Miss Virginia Selves, formerly of Kansas, will be married Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Capilla de San Antonio with members of the immediate family and close friends attending.
Mr. Bush is stationed at the Los Alamitos Naval Base while the bride-elect is employed at the American Aluminum plant at Compton. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Selves of Bavaar, Kansas.
Announcement of the approaching wedding was made at a recent dinner party given by Mrs. Bush at her home.
Miss Mary Lou Schumacher Weds Ensign Woodford Little In Florida
A marriage of unusual interest to many people was held last week in DeLand, Florida when Miss Mary Lou Schumacher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Schumacher of Anaheim, became the bride of Ensign M. Woodford Little, son of Mrs. Alonzo Little and the late Dr. Little of Kansas City.
The Rev. E. Nash Philpot, pastor of the Trinity Methodist church, officiated at the single ring church ceremony.
Tall standards of white roses on either side of the altar, potted palms and white candles in white candles in branched candelabra formed a beautiful background for the ceremony. Miss Cortez Tedder played the wedding march on the organ and John Cornwell of the local Naval Air Station sang “Because” and “Through the Years.”
The bride was traditionally lovely in a flowing white satin gown fashioned with a square yoke of lace while her short veil was held in place by a tiara of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of gardenias centered with a single orchid and streamers of tuberoses. She wore a beautiful diamond and emerald bracelet, an heirloom of her family.
Miss Leta Mitchell was maid of honor and wore a soft blue chiffon street length frock that was studded with brilliants and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. She is a sorority sister of the bride, affiliated with the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority at Stetson university.
Ensign Wallace Klein of North Dakota served as best man and Ensign Grant Brotherson of Panama and Ensign F. Sherman of Ohio were ushers.
A buffer supper was served at the Hotel Putman for 35 guests immediately after the ceremony. Following this the bride and bridegroom left on a wedding trip to Dayton Beach. They will make their new home at Stetson Lodge North Boulevard Deland. Fla.

Gorman-Clark Marriage Takes Place November 13
The many friends of the popular Miss Isabel Patricia Gorman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo P. Gorman of 209 North Helena street, were interested to learn this week the details of her marriage. Saturday, November 13, to Virgil James Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Clark of Albion, Idaho. Mrs. Gorman, mother of the bride, revealed that they were married at the rectory of St. James Catholic church in Vancouver, Washington, with Father John Egan officiating at the double ring ceremony.
The bride was charmingly gowned in a smart torquoise wool dress with which she wore navy blue accessories and a corsage of "shattered" white carnations and bouvardia. For her something old and borrowed she carried a dainty white chiffon handkerchief belonging to Mrs. M. P. Thaxton of this city.
Her only attendant, Miss Helen Allen of Portland, Oregon, fiancee of Melvin E. Schneider of this city, wore a light weight gold dress and brown accessories and a corsage of yellow chrysanthemums.
Willard E. Slake of Albion, Idaho, attended the bridegroom as best man.
Following the marriage service the wedding party enjoyed a delightful breakfast at the well known Chicken Roost.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Clark are already settled in their new home at 918 Columbia House, Vancouver. Mrs. Clark went north three weeks ago leaving her position in Los Angeles where she has been employed for the past two
YOU'LL BE GLAD IT'S WARM INDOORS
When your alarm says "Get on the job, brother"—modern gas heating is healthful and a big help, but don't WASTE it!
AMERICA needs everybody on the job this winter. On time. Full time...so use your gas heating to keep healthfully warm...but don't waste it. Because more and more fuel is needed for the war effort, and saving heat saves fuel.
You can help your Government to conserve fuel this winter by avoiding waste in every way you can: don't overheat your house, or waste heat on rooms not in regular use, or let the furnace "go" when it's not needed.
The fuel you save this winter means that much more fuel saved for the Battle of the Pacific.
