Anaheim Selectees On Induction List Several young men listed as being from Anaheim, were included among the north Orange county selectees who were inducted into U. S. Army service during the final week in July. Among the 37 registrants who left from Fullerton on July 25, and who represented Buena Park, La Habra, Placentia and other communities as well as Fullerton, were Wayne Raymond Shy and Herman Henry Hoch, both of Anaheim. Almost a hundred selectees from Fullerton Local Board No. 174 included ten from the Anaheim community. They were Joe Morales Garcia, Ralph Joseph Arias, Raymond Eugene Phillips, Ben Ybarra Luna, Robert Contreras Tafolla, Russell Wallace Sullivan, Paul William Altheide, Maure Marvin Mills, Eugene Boisseranc and Kenneth Frank Viall. MONTANA VISITOR Mrs. Vera Morier of Butte, Mont., sister of Mrs. Charles Fiske, is a summer houseguest in the Fiske home on West Orangethorpe avenue. Tuesday Mrs. Fiske and her visitor spent the day shopping in Los Angeles. Mrs. Morier expects to return home in September in time to resume her teaching duties. MERRY MATRONS Mrs. Clara Pingely was honored with a surprise shower at the meeting of the Merry Matrons' club last week in the home of Mrs. Irene O'Brien of 611 South Philadelphia street. Pink and blue ribbons falling from an umbrella decorated the living room of the home. Useful gifts were given to the honored person.
