A Hearty "Thank You"!
stricted with that which aids in war production given first place.
With the establishment of this district as a defense area, we can build as much as anyone, anywhere else can. Without it we could build nothing.
Without new homes in which to house war workers who come here seeking residence, Anaheim was powerless to maintain, let alone increase the buying power of its population.
It all adds up to a boost for Anaheim that we are now back in the government building picture—and a hearty vote of appreciation to everyone who had anything to do with the reestablishment.
Craemer Declines Candidate Offer
Justus F. Craemer, President of the California Railroad Commission, announced this week that he would not become a candidate for Governor or for Lieutenant Governor and endorsed without qualification the candidacy of Attorney General Earl Warren, whom he termed a “strong, reliable” man and whose nomination and election would materially advance the success of the war effort.

The books were sent to Beebe by Morris Kay, state license examiner who recently conducted the Safety council's school in Anaheim, and are to be distributed

Thanking his friends for advancing a movement in behalf of his candidacy, Craemer pointed out that he made no official announcement of his intention to enter the race. He further declared that he would not become a candidate for Lieutenant Governor, a move which has been urged upon him strongly since General Warren entered the contest.

The books were sent to Beebe by Morris Kay, state license examiner who recently conducted the Safety council's school in Anaheim, and are to be distributed free to anyone desiring them. Beebe's office is located at 116 South Los Angeles street.
With the summaries came a letter from Key, addressed to the local Chamber of Commerce, thanking all participants and those who made possible the "very successful" safety school held here last month.
