Demand For Tires
Small In Anaheim
Issued today and covering the first 20 days of January the report of the Anaheim Tire Rationing board showed only 33 applications for new tires had been warranted, 15 of which were for casings of obsolete sizes, and 31 new tubes, 16 of which were out-of-date products.
Officials stated that lack of applications have prevented the issuance of more certificates as the board has a quota of 36 passenger car tires and 73 truck casings, along with 32 passenger tubes and 4 truck tubes.
Failure to issue sufficient certificates to cover local quotas will probably mean that priorities on tires here will be decreased, it was stated.

Guayule Rubber
Grown In State
"Guayule," a title which may be one to be reckoned with agriculturally speaking, is the name of a rubber producing plant which has been successfully grown in California.
Today, much interest has been aroused locally over the possibilities of growing Guayule commercially in Orange county to replace the dwindling supply of US rubber.
Cooperating in the movement by furnishing information, the Orange County Farm advisor's office in Santa Ana today announced that a folder on the plant is available at the office.
