Outdoor Skating Rink Opens Here Friday At 7 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, Anaheim young people will skate to music on two of the newly lighted Municipal tennis courts at Anaheim City Park, according to Mrs. Hazel Hatfield, works project recreation leader, who is cooperating with city park division on a year-round recreation program. Seating accommodations for the public are promised, and anyone who wishes is invited to attend. Nineteen youths died of tuberculosis in Orange county last year before they reached their 20th birthday: another 17 in the 20-45 age group. The remaining 15 succumbed after the age of 45 years. This proves tuberculosis is the "foe of youth." Southland Residents Can Play In Sunshine While Rest of County Sits By Fireside Taking advantage of balmy autumn weather this weekend while the rest of the country huddles by the fireside, many Southern California residents will visit the Hobby and Craft Show at Santa Barbara, and AAU Swimming and Diving championships at Palm Springs. At Santa Barbara, serious, artistic, humorous, and clever hobbies will be on display with proud owners there to explain them at the Hobby and Craft Show tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. National swimming and diving champions will compete at Palm Springs Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the official competition there will be exhibition diving and swimming as well as comedy. For those who desire to some of California's auto-coloring at its best, the Trend and Recretation committee the California Chamber Commerce reports unanimously displays of color may be at Lassen National Park Yosemite. In the Redwood Empire district, the color is beginning fade but it is still worth seeing to see, the committee ports.
