Fullerton Has 10,442 Residents
Bureau of Census Confirms Recently Announced Figure
Official population of Fullerton is 10,442. The figure representing a decrease of several hundred from the count of 10 years ago was confirmed last week by a letter from the bureau of census at Washington, D.C. The letter was signed by John G. Aldrich and was in reply to a missive sent that department last week by the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce. The commerce body in its letter asked that confirmation be given to the newly announced total or that steps be taken toward some sort of recheck.
In his letter, Aldrich referred to figures furnished last September by District Enumerator Lon V. Sieglar of Riverside. Sieglar's total announced at the time, was 11,004. To that figure was later added approximately 400 names submitted in a recheck of the city by the local agencies. This number, Aldrick pointed out added to a total of 10,004, would give the present corrected figure of 10,442. Sieglar's figure, Aldrich stated, was exactly 1000 names too many.
On the basis of the latest figures, Fullerton becomes the third city in the county in population, being exceeded by both Santa Ana and Anaheim.

Chrysler Motors Drop Close Game
Three-hit pitching by Hansmann proved too much for Anaheim Chrysler Motors last Sunday and they bowed to the Los Angeles Iron Workers, 3 to 2. Doug Wheeler turned in a good hurling exhibition himself, but gave up single runs in the eighth and ninth innings to lose the decision.
Bob Lemmon got two of Anaheim three hits, with Jack Graham accounting for the other. Graham's blow was recorded as a home run when a throw from the outfield went wild at third base.
Anaheim took the lead with a run in the fourth but lost it when the visitors tallied in the fifth. The Iron Workers picked up another score in the eighth, but the Chryslers knotted the count again on Graham's run. The pay-off tally came in the final round.
