Under and by virtue of a Judgment of Foreclosure and Order of Sale, issued out of the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the County of Orange, in the above entitled action on the 2nd day of December, 1940, wherein the above named plaintiff obtained a judgment of foreclosure against the above named defendants on the said 2nd day of December, 1940, for the sum of $1181.23, which judgment and decree was on the 11th day of December, 1940, recorded in Judgment Book 39 of said Court, at page 234, I am commanded to sell at public auction, in the manner prescribed by law, all that certain real property situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:

Signal honor will come to Orange county Legionnaries Saturday when Milo J. Warner, national commander of the American Legion makes an official visit to the county.
This announcement was made by Ralph J. Mitchell, commander of the Santa Ana Legion post, who stated that plans have been arranged to stage a special celebration at the American Legion hall in Santa Ana, Saturday, beginning with a noon dinner, in honor of the national commander and other high Legion officials who will be in the commander's party.
Mitchell stated that all county Legion posts had been invited to take part in the affair and that large delegations from the entire county would be present to greet the Legion leaders.
Department of California Commander William J. Farrell and other state Legion officials will accompany the national commander on his short tour of the Southern part of the state and will be in attendance at the county celebration and dinner in Santa Ana Saturday, said Mitchell.
Warner has been closely identified with the American Legion since its inception and has served it in many capacities through the past 21 years and his talk to the county Legion men following the dinner Saturday will be one that will be of tremendous interest.

Reserving therefrom the Easterly 6½ feet of said land as conveyed to the City of Anaheim for sidewalk purposes by deed recorded April 13th, 1906 in Book 131, page 118 of Deeds, Records of Orange County, California.
Public notice is hereby given that on the 1st day of February 1941, at 9:30 A.M., at the South door of the Court House in the City of Santa Ana, Orange County, California, in obedience to said Order of Sale and Judgment of Foreclosure, I will sell the above described property to the highest bidder for cash, in lawful money of the United States.

Leah E. Housley's Funeral Conduct
Funeral services for Leah Housley, 72, were conducted Thursday from the Hillegary mortuary, with burial being in the family plot in Hall Iowa. Rev. Cyril Hicks, pastor of Buena Park Congregational church, officiated.
Mrs. Housley, a resident Anaheim for 21 years; died day, December 23, at a Funeral Hospital. He is survived by husband, Alonzo C. Housley daughter, Miss Nell Housley Anaheim; a sister, Miss S. Amack of Alhambra; three sisters and a half-brother.

The annual mid-winter reunion of the Michigan Association of Southern Californians be held all day Saturday, June 4, in Sycamore Grove park Angeles. There will be a picnic following the basket picnic.

Fred F. Mitchell Called by Death
Funeral services for Fred F. Mitchell, 65, who died Christmas morning at the family home, 717 South Los Angeles street, were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Hilgenfeld mortuary. Services were under the auspices of the Odd Fellows lodge and burial was made in Fairhaven cemetery.
Mitchell was a native Californiaian, being born in Browns Valley, San Benito county. He came to Anaheim 35 years ago and was an employee of the Standard Oil company for many years, retiring a year ago because of ill health. Although not well, he was about as usual and was looking forward with anticipation to a family reunion on Christmas day and the observance of the fortyth wedding anniversary.
Mitchell is survived by his wife, Mary E. Mitchell; one son, Lawrence Mitchell of Anaheim; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Krastel of Boulder City, New York; and a sister, Mrs. F. Dell Kiefhaber of Newhall. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the Rebekah lodge.

Earl B. Snyder Called by Death
Graduated from the Anaheim High School in 1901 With First Class
Earl Bernard Snyder of 117 South Sycamore avenue, Los Angeles, and a member of the first graduating class of Anaheim union high school, died Saturday, December 21, and funeral services were conducted at Pomona on Tuesday, December 24, it was learned by the Anaheim Gazette last week.
Snyder died while at the home of his sister, Mrs. Dora B. Schulz of Chino. He was born at Richland, Iowa, on February 12, 1889, the fourth child of George W. and Olive J. Snyder. He is survived by his sisters, Dora B. Schulz and Gertrude E. Kellegg of Van Nuys; one brother, B. M. Snyder of Los Angeles, and by his two children, Grace E. Snyder of Portland, Ore., and Marian H. Snyder of Mansfield, Ohio.
Snyder came with his family to Anaheim when he was five years old. Following his graduation from Anaheim high school in 1901, he attended University of California for two years and while at Berkeley met and married Grace H. Jacques. She died in 1915.
Snyder was engaged in newspaper work in Washington from 1914 until 1937. He had been in ill health about a year.
