Hallowe’en Fete Plans Completed (Continued from Page 1) have been obtained for this event, topped by Ed Ungers’ sensational balloon assention. Other headliners include Bozo, a clown from the Venice Fun House; Johnson and Shaller, a feature of the Golden Gate Exposition; Irene MacAfee and her group of 13 trained dogs; Nelson’s boxing cats, and many others. Musical accompaniment will be provided by Charles Post and his Haganback-Wallace circus band. Parade at 7 o'clock The celebration's principal feature, the gigantic parade, will start promptly at 7 o'clock and will have more floats and decorated cars, musical organizations, marching units and horses than any parade given here in the past. John W. Price is general chairman of the event, and disclosed today that some 135 floats and cars, 300 horses and 14 musical organizations will participate. The parade will form on streets north and south of Center, east of Olive and will move west on Center street to Ohio street, south on Ohio to Broadway, east on Broadway to disbanding district east of Olive street. Parade entries must obtain starting positions and numbers at the Chamber of Commerce office next Tuesday and Wednesday. Costumed marchers must also register on those days. Immediately after the conclusion of the parade the free vaudeville program will be presented at the city park. This event will last one hour and will be followed by the grand costume ball at the Elks clubhouse. Everyone attending the hall must wear a costume it Advisory Committee Opens Office Today Opening of an office on the second floor of the city hall for the registration advisory committee was announced this morning by J. B. Collings, chairman of the committee. The office will be available to any selective service registrant as soon as the order numbers are determined next week. The purpose of the committee is to assist registrants in filling out the next questionnaire and to take the oath of the registrant that the answers are correct. Coordinators to Meet on Monday The annual meeting of the Anaheim Coordinating Council will be held next Monday evening at 7:30 o'clock in the American Legion clubrooms at the city hall, it was announced yesterday by Chairman M. A. Gauer. Representatives of every organization in the city, as well as any individual interested in the work of the council is invited to attend. New officers of the council for the coming year will be elected, reports of committees will be read and a check up will be made on committee organizations, Gauer said. Several members of committees have moved from Anaheim during the past year and the vacancies will need to be filled, it was pointed out. Anaheim Personalities Delegates Return From Convention Delegates of the Women’siliary of the Orange County association attended the convention held at the Amador hotel in Los Angeles M Tuesday and Wednesday. Representatives from county were Mrs. W. J. Franck of Fullerton, president of range county auxiliary, Mr. Robert Stroschein, Santa Anita Carl Compton and Mrs. Schutz of Anaheim. Other Anaheim were Mrs. John Mrs. Neils Böege, Mrs. McCarthy and Miss Lois Becker. Principal speakers at Tuition meeting were Dr. Guy Buskirk, incoming president State Dental association and George Warmer of San Diego fashion show and bridge were features of Tuesday’s noon gathering. Elks Lodge Stages Veterans’ Program Veterans from all parts of northern Orange county joined with members of Anaheim Elks lodge last night for the latter’s annual veterans’ dinner and program. Monte Blue, former motion picture actor, was the guest speaker of the evening, talking on “Americanism.” The program was arranged by a committee headed by Don Jones, esquire of the lodge and prominent Legionnaire of Fullerton. Anaheim Personalities (Continued from Page 1) Prior to going into business for himself, Levin had some seven years of experience as manager for other owners. After starting his education in Europe, Levin came to this country to complete it. He served with the United States armed forces during the World War and is a member of the Santa Ana post of the American Legion. He also holds membership in a Masonic lodge in Utah. Levin was married several years ago to Miss Ruth Simpson, and they are the parents of a son, Robert, who celebrated his ninth birthday anniversary on Oct. 11. Toastmaster Hear Two Talks Tuesday G. Millard Parks and C. George Hedstrom were the speakers on the program presented at the meeting of the Anaheim Toastmasters club Tuesday evening at the Marigold cafe. Walter Taylor was the critic and Royal Marten introduced the speakers. Future events of the club were also discussed. Conclave Delegation Report at Meet Paul McCleister presided over the Senior Hi-Y club meeting at the Y.M.C.A. headquartered Tuesday evening. Representatives from Orange county were Mrs. W. J. Saturday afternoon Lieb was in Presbyterian Group To Attend Conclave Tomorrow evening, Rev. and Stanley Frederick George will accompany 11 of the young people of the First Presbyterian church to a three-day Presbyterian Young People's convention at Immanuel Presbyterian church in Los Angeles. The delegates will return home late Sunday evening. Those representing the church are Douglas Allan, president of Youth Council; Don Chamberlin, vice president; Betty Ross and Bernice Tompkins, secretaries; Jack Wilson, treasurer; JoAnn Stitchman, Loystene Stewart, Betty Benson, Marilyn Rogers, Jim Patrick and George Sirton. City Officials to Meet in Anaheim Anaheim city officials will be hosts to members of the Orange County League of Municipalities tonight when the regular monthly meeting of that organization is held at the Elks clubhouse. Reports of various divisional conferences at the recent convention of the League of California Municipalities will be given attracted by announcement that city attorney of Anaheim, Fred Rowland, mayor of Santa Ana, C. A large delegation of Huntington Beach members visited the local organization, and Henry Mang, of the grand encampment of California, made a short address. The third degree was conferred on Ted Eaton under the direction of Roy Pollock, chairman of the third degree team. Light refreshments were served after the business meeting. Native of Anaheim Is Called by Death Word was received in Anaheim this week of the death last Thursday in his home at Cucamonga of John Collans Rehm, 52, a native of Anaheim whose parents were old-time residents of this city. He had been ill about three weeks. Rehm moved from Anaheim to Cucamonga when 11 years of age and had resided in the latter town since then. He was a citrus rancher. He is survived by his widow, two sons, a sister, one brother and five grandchildren. New Train Planned By Santa Fe Lines Effective next Sunday, the Santa Fe railway company is inaugurating a new train which will leave Los Angeles at 5 o'clock in the afternoon and arrive in Anaheim at 5:41, it was announced today by William Fennell, Anaheim agent.
