Dairy Structure To Have Murals
D. Eyman Huff, Orange, chairman of the dairy products committee of the California State Fair, 11-day event in Sacramento, starting Friday, today announced that the new building of the division at the fairgrounds will be decorated with murals showing the history of dairying for California. The murals were loaned to the state fair by the California Dairy council.
The term for the state fair this year, Huff said, will be "show window of California."
Due to the important part dairy products play in California's economic life, Huff declared the dairy products division is a primary one in the fair.
Huff also expressed pleasure at the exceptional speed program arranged for the race track.
Huff had a hand in arranging the program which lists such outstanding running stables as C. S. Howard's, A. G. Tarn's, Rancho San Luis Rey's, and such harnesses Britain that is stronger than ever in her history.
TORRIED ZONE—The conquest of British Somaliland represented for Italy her first unaided victory over a force representing a major power for many years indeed. That this victory was accompanied by the esstatic rejoicing of the Italian press is not surprising, even if the immediate value of the occupied territory to Mussolini is likely to be negligible.
Claims that the British fortress of Aden is now endangered by the Fascist success do not appear to have the slightest basis in fact, since the Italian forces in Berbera are actually many times farther from Aden than are positions which have been in Italian hands for years. Unquestionably, British prestige has suffered a serious blow in the eyes of the Arabs, but it is still unlikely that that blow has been sufficiently great to persuade those Arabs to throw in their lot with Italy, as Mussolini apparently hopes. Nevertheless there is in London a feeling that Britain may have to face further reverses in Africa in the near future.
In Rome, an impending thrust into the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan is foreshadowed, perhaps in conjunction with the long-impending offensive against Egypt from Libya. Such Fascist moves undoubtedly would contain a serious menace to the Sudan if not to Egypt itself, and it is highly probable that to some extent a British withdrawal in the region of the Sudan may be necessary, perhaps even involving the loss of the key town of Khartoum on the River Nile.
Probably the final aim of Italian strategy in Africa envisions three drives, which might be begun simultaneously. The first would be the thrust against Egypt from Libya, the second would be aimed at Khartoum, and the third offensive probably would be aimed northwest from Eritrea, along the shore of the Red Sea, having the Suez canal itself as its objective. Such an undertaking would result in menacing the vital canal from two directions, but it would also entail fighting far heavier than anything upon which Italian forces have yet embarked. Almost inevitably, Italian invasion of either the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, or the territory of Egypt proper would end Egypt's present highly equivocal position of precarious neutrality. With the entrance into war of the land of the Pharaos, the already very considerable British forces in the near and middle East would be reinforced by the well trained and equipped and not inconsiderable Egyptian army. The fighting quality of this force is believed to be very high, and combined with the hard-bitten soldiers from Australia and New Zealand who have been waiting impatiently for their opportunity to see action, Britain would have at her disposal a truly formidable array of power with which to meet any Italian threat.

TWO NEW COUNTY SOUGHT BY SUPE
Two new state recreational parks for Orange county coast line were envisaged in a plan broached at Huntington Beach this week by Supervisor Willis Warner. The supervisor proposed a matching plan whereby the county would deed all or part of its holdings in the Newport Bay area to the state for a public park, matching state purchase of beach frontage between Huntington Beach and Newport Beach for state park purposes.
Mayor M. M. McCallen of Huntington Beach said he would confer with Warner and his fellow supervisors at once on the proposal, and that the city and county might have a definite plan to suggest at the next meeting of the park commission in Santa Cruz September 6.
The county land fronting the upper bay was purchased as a public park project, and it is believed that other supervisors will look with favor on the matching deal to bring the state into the beach and bay areas.
The plan was suggested at a meeting of Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce directors and city officials with members of the State Park commission on a special visit to the beach city to discuss the state park project for Orange county.
CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCH
This verse from John, "God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved," is the Golden Text in the Lesson-Sermon on "Christ Jesus" on Sunday in all churches of Christ, Scientist.
One of the Scriptural selections presents these words of Jesus from Matthew: "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil... And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed."
Included in the Lesson-Sermon are these statements from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "Through demonstrating his control over sin and disease, the great Teacher by no means relieved.

Under the Warner plan, which received hearty endorsement of city and chamber officials, the county would make its land holdings on the upper bay north of the Coast highway a part of the state park system. The state in return

NEW COUNTY BEACH PARKS WRIGHT BY SUPERVISOR WARNER
would allocate an equal amount for purchase of beach land, in keeping with the matching system adopted recently by the state in setting up park areas.
The state men emphasized that they could not allocate funds for purchase of a beach park without allocation of a similar amount in money or land by a local agency, either the city or the county, or the two jointly. Recent legislation forbids allocation without matching, they pointed out.
