An interesting talk on "Personality and Dress" was given by Mrs. Michelson, instructor at U.S.C., to several of the Girls League groups of Anaheim union high school last Tuesday afternoon in the study hall.
Instructing the girls in the colors they should wear to suit their particular types of hair, skin, and general personality, and giving them several interesting make-up hints, Mrs. Mickelson intertained a group comprised of the hostess, drama, welfare, and social committees.
"How To Be Popular" at the School Dances was the subject of a short article read to the personality committee of the Girls League during section period last Tuesday by Jessie Thatcher, president of the group.
So that each girl might rate his own personality, and correct its defects, a list of 72 questions were then distributed, and discussed.
Several short movies were shown to boys in the Colonist club assembly Wednesday at Anaheim union high school. In spite of a defect in the sound system, the boys enjoyed the silent movies.
First of the pictures was entitled "Soldiers of the Sea" which gave a brief look at a marine's life in the service. The second picture gave a first hand view of expert archers demonstration, and the use of bow and arrow. Due to the sound defects the names of the archers remained unknown. The third was on the television and though it was obvious that the working parts of the machine were being explained, television remains a mystery to students in Anaheim high.
Enjoying a variety of entertainment, and refreshments of hot chocolate and cakes, 25 members of the French club held their annual Christmas party last Wednesday.
Singles by Don White, Ted and Heinz, with another error a sacrifice mixed in, gave him two more runs in the Anaheim had opened its scout in the first on Esser's hit pair of walks had set the pace for two runners to cross the finish line.
