Westminster Will Construct School
Construction of five additional classrooms, a kindergarten building and an auditorium wing at the Westminster school will start December 4, according to Superintendent Orton Bebermyer. Cost of the project is $75,000. Local labor will be used as extensively as possible, according to WPA officials.
Charges Against Pair Withdrawn
Charges of fraudulent registration were withdrawn late last week in superior court against Mrs. Emma Garrett, 61, and her son, Archie, 25, both of Westminster. The husband and father, Francis, 61, was acquitted of the charge last Thursday.
Assistant District Attorney Joel Ogle said the decision of Judge Franklin G. West in upholding a defense motion for a directed verdict of acquittal for the elder Garrett was not appealable. When Judge West ordered acquittal, he set legal precedent in California since this was the first case in the state's history dealing with an alleged fraudulent registration before a special election was called.
Fullerton Schools Will be Inspected
Condition of 14 buildings on the Fullerton union high school campus will be thorough investigated, it has been announced by Louis Felony charges were filed superior court last week against four Orange county youths who police say formed an automobile theft and burglary gang. Artet of Youths Accused of Crimes

Santa Ana Plans New Year Event
Santa Ana will be the scene of a "Mardi Gras" type carnival on Saturday night, December 30, it was announced last Friday by officials of the Santa Ana Junior Chamber of Commerce, sponsors of the event.
"It will be an evening of fun," Lawrence Patterson, general chairman, said. "We want to give the people of Orange county a way of celebrating the New Year's approach that will become an Orange county institution.
Feature of the event will be a huge street parade, with noise makers, costumes, comical hats, confetti and streamers adding a riot of color to the occasion.
