Ganahl is Winner in Estate Action
Ernest F. Ganahl of Anaheim,
executor of the Henry Traveirne estate, late last week recovered a $2711.59 judgment for the estate when a jury in Superior Judge Franklin G. West's court granted his suit against Mr. and Mrs. Octave Roquet of Anaheim.
The defendants had contended that the money had been a gift from Traveirne to them.
The $2711.65 represented the amount of an investment certificate, transferred by Traveirne to the Roquets in April, 1938. Traveirne died last March, and Ganahl in probating the estate, met refusal by the Roquets, he alleged, in his request for return of the certificate, which covered a deposit with the Savings Loan and Building association of Anaheim.

Train Wrecker is Sought in County
Garden Grove area became the focal point in the search for the man or men who wrecked the Southern Pacific streamliner, City of San Francisco near Harney, Nev., early this week, following an unusual report to sheriff's officers that a resident of the "river hobo jungle" was to be paid $500 for wrecking the train.
J. F. Methvin of Garden Grove is reported to have told sheriff's officers that a man of his acquaintance had said that a banker in the midwest had paid him $500 cash and had promised $2000 more to wreck the train. Methvin claimed he saw a letter purportedly from the banker arranging a meeting in Santa Ana, presumably to pay off the other $2000.
All-Year Route to Winter Playground
Completion of oiling operations between Camp Nelson and Quaking Aspen Meadow has made an all-year route from Porterville area, reports the touring bureau of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
Snow plows will keep the route open during the winter season, and a winter sports playground is planned at Quaking Aspen Meadow this year.
