MORE ABOUT Annual Parade
competitive window decoration was won by E. J. Sullivan's General Petroleum service station on West Center street. Second prize was won by The S. Q. R. Store and third prize by the Lauretta Dress shoppe. Honorable mention was given the displays of Weber's Book store and the J. C. Penney company.
The winning window was a life-like representation of youngsters engaged in a Hallowe'en prank. Figures of the children were made with pipe cleaners and beads and all other objects in the window were made by hand. The entire display occupied a space of only three feet by four feet.
The quintuplets' Hallowe'en party was depicted by the S. Q. R. store's window, while the third place winner was a miniature reproduction of the Hallowe'en parade.
Judges for the window contest were Mrs. Charles H. Mann, Mrs. C. A. Neighbors, Mrs. Henry Adams, Mrs. Arthur Shipkey, Mrs. Charles A. Pearson and Mrs. Fred Weisel.
MORE ABOUT Christmas Events
(Continued from Page 1) pressed the hope that sometime in the spring a public speaking class may be started in Orange county.
A short discussion was held relative to the closing of stores on Armistice Day. The majority of those present this morning favored observing the day by closing tail business houses.
