Los Angeles Sixty-six years ago next year nine of the district's local residents met on the event January 23, 1872, in the officeprise hall and formed the end of the city's lodges I.O.O.F. The nine charter members John Fischer, who became first noble grand; E. W. Chase, vice grand; J. P. Zeyn, secreth John Adams, treasurer; S. H. V. D'Assonville, M. F. Geoff J. J. Dyer and N. H. Mitchell. The records show that the lowing became Anaheim Fellows during the first year Nebelung, Richard Heil Peter Richards, F. A. Korn, LaFaucherie, Henry Knight Henrich Boege, H. A. Boege Brower, R. Menzel, M. C. F. Conrad, C. Wille, D. Stroh H. Richter, F. E. Miller Drewsen, John Hanson, Otto H. E. Boldt and R. Menzie. In June of 1882 the lodge to the Masonic hall on South Angeles St. and in 1884 built first I.O.O.F. hall at the north corner of Los Angeles and tres street. The lodge spends years in the two-story building. Some of the members who active in the early days in Charles Boege, Herman Charles J. Fay, Bird V. Beech A. Yungbluth, A. E. Schumann C. E. Holcomb, W. P. Webb William Young, W. L. Dunliff B. Johnson, O. T. Cailor, Foreman and J. S. Howard who have since died are Spencer, Napoleon Hart, Fox, Oliver Hill, Robert Frank S. Gates, Richard McHugh McWilliams, Emil Sam Hill, George Stock Henry Oelkers. A new hall was built at Center street in 1905. They grew rapidly after that and in 1906 the Encampment brand the order was established Anaheim. In 1935 the grand encampment of California held its annual session here. Anaheim was his 1500 visiting Odd Fellows Rebekahs for a week. After calling 133 W. STORE Above is the latest photograph taken of the S.Q.R. store, one of the oldest business establishments in Anaheim. For more than 30 years it has been owned and operated by O. H. Renner and E. Schumacher. The picture shows the main floor, mezzanine floor, and second floor of the main building in addition to the shoe department and men's furnishings department. Old Fellows Lodge Second Oldest in Anaheim; Founded 66 Years Ago twenty-six years ago next January nine of the district's leading students met on the evening of January 23, 1872, in the old Entrance hall and formed the section of the city's lodges, the O.F. The nine charter members were in Fischer, who became the noble grand; E. W. Champlin, grand; J. P. Zeyn, secretary; in Adams, treasurer; S. H. Dyer. purchased the building at 325 W. Center street, formerly known as the K. P. hall. Meetings of Anaheim Lodge No. 199, I.O.O.F., Lois Rebekah Lodge No. 268, I.O.O.F., and Anaheim Encampment No. 105, I.O.O.F. are now held there. The building is governed for the lodge by five trustees who are C. L. Allen, A. T. Tuma, W. E. Mang, Eva Scutt and E. H. Webber. Pitney's recently moved the studio from the second floor of the Kraemer building, 222 E. Center street, to the main floor of the same building.
