SOCIETY Nan Van Doren Becomes Bride of Hal Dunham The Westwood home of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Bister was the scene Saturday afternoon of the marriage of Miss Nan Van Dorgen to Hai Lounham. The Rev. Father John J. Devin of St. Victor's parish officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Monita Van Doren of Beverly Hills and P. W. Van Doren of Anaheim. Mr. Dunham is the son of C.J. Dunham of Rosannond. Attending the bridal couple were Miss Mary Van Doren as maid of honor and Joe Bushard of Anaheim as best man. About 100 close friends and relatives witnessed the ceremony. Following the service a reception was held after which the newly-weds sailed for San Francisco on the S. S. Lark. They will make their home in Berkeley where Mr. Dunham is employed with the Fluor corporation. Mr. Dunham was graduated from Anaheim union high school with the class of 1929 and later attended Santa Ana junior college. His bride attended Los Angeles schools and has been employed with the Universal studios. Among the wedding guests were Mrs. Kenneth Eldred, Miss Velda Dunham, Mrs. Emma Jackson, Miss Florence Backs, James Jackson, Warren Jackson, Joe Bushard, Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Van Doren and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Wallace of Daughter is Born to Neils Boeges Monday Morning A seven-pound, two-ounce baby daughter was born to Dr. and Mrs. J. Neils Boege of Anaheim early Monday morning at St. Joseph’s hospital. Both the mother and infant are doing well. The child, the first in the family, has been named Patricia Ann. Her grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. J.H. Boege of Anaheim and Mr. and Mrs.W.E.Russell of Fullerton. Three great-grandmothers of the baby are living! They are Mrs.Amelia Jacobsen, of Lancaster; Mrs.Russell of Chicago and Mrs.Lavina Muse of Fullerton. Parents Honor Winifred Ahlstrom with Birthday Party Miss Winifred Ahlstrom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.C.W.Ahlstrom of 110 S.Walnut street, was the guest of honor at a birthday party given by her parents Sunday evening. Miss Ahlstrom, a student at U.C.L.A., had been home from school over the week end. Subsidiary of M.O Canned Citrus The board of directors of Mutual Orange Distributors yesterday authorized production and distribution of standardized quality canned products through a subsidiary cooperative controlled by it. All products handled by the subsidiary cooperative will be marketed by the Mutual Orange Distributors.Under the plan approved,the membership in the subsidiary cooperative will attend their option.be open to all packing units which are members on the central marketing association Capital and operating costs of the subsidiary cooperative will be borne by those packing units which voluntarily elect to become members of it. The selection of adequate sites and the construction of one or more plants will begin immediately.Mutual Orange Distributors is one of the largest cooperative citrus marketing associations in the west and has been in business for 32 years.Its membership represents producers of oranges lemons and grapefruit in all producing areas in California and Arizona. J.H.Strait; president of Mutual Orange Distributors,said today: "A careful analysis has been made jointly by the Board of Directors and a special committee of growers to the effect of production and sale of canned citrus products on the income of our growers."This report shows that there is a steadily increasing volume of citrus fruits being canned not only in California but in Arizona,Texas and Florida.The largest part of this volume so far has been manufactured and sold by commercial canners.Since there is no legal basis under the Agricultural Adjustment act either to limit the volume of citrus fruits being canned nor the price at which William Ihrer, Mrs. O. Places at the tables were marked with favors made of suckers with skeleton faces and jaunty hats. The Hallowe'en motif was followed in the decorations. Miss Eileen Muchow, special guest of the sorority, Mrs. Floyd Vaughan and Mrs. Harold Hemmer received prizes in the bridge game which followed the dinner. Carroll, Daughter Return from Europe Mrs. Joseph Carroll and daughter Elizabeth Ann have returned to their home in Anaheim from a three months' vacation trip abroad. Three weeks were spent in visiting with relatives of Mrs. Carroll in Hungary after which they toured Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, England, Scotland and Ireland. Elderly Vagrant is Sentenced to Jail A 64-year-old transient, August Vincent Vacher, was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail Monday morning by Acting City Judge Charles Kuchel, after pleading guilty to vagrancy.
