The streets of Anaheim have not been sprinkled for several days owing to an accident to the water tank which has not yet been repaired. How would it be to use a little petroleum which might lay the dust and keep it down. Ventura is trying out the use of crude petroleum in sprinkling the streets instead of water. So far no bad effects have been noticed on the people. Why not try it here? tity of excellent wine will be made. The residents of the district affected will be notified to come before the board at a hearing about two weeks hence. The swamp is the result of waste water from Chino Creek. In the death of this pioneer of the west country this section loses a notable character, who has been a familiar figure in the community in which he was for so long a conspicuous figure. On May 27, 1878, he was married to Miss Lizzie Doherty, who was born in the north of Ireland, and who survives him.
