Still in fourth place, Anaheim's Valencias neither lost ground nor gained in the wild scramble for the leadership of the National nightball league during the last week. Two victories in two starts matched a like result for Huntington Beach which moved into the leadership and kept Anaheim 2-2 games out of the top spot.
Brilliant pitching and topnotch defensive work featured the Valencias' two victories this week. Last Friday night Lyle Morse handcuffed Santa Ana to win, 8 to 1, while Tuesday evening Wilbur Stinchfield spaced seven Riverside hits so well that none of the Rubes were able to reach pay dirt. Anaheim won, 2 to 0.
Manager String McDonnell's crew appears to have at last hit its stride. The shift of Leavitt Daley from left field to short-top reams to have added considerable pepper to the infield and the entire club now gives the impression of wanting to win.
Floyd Montgomery and Bono Koral livened up the Santa Ana fracas with a first-fight that resulted in their both being tossed from the game and suspended until Saturday.
The Valencias had no trouble with Earl Morrill's offerings, which coupled with a complete collapse of the Santa Ana defense.
Directors of Chamber of Commerce Named
Four of the six directors of the Anaheim chamber of commerce whose terms expired this month were re-elected to the board last week, it was announced by Secretary George W. Reid.
The two new members of the board are L. C. Herron and F. A. Yungbluth. Re-elected were Carroll Cone, Victor G. Loly, Harry C. Arthur, and Charles Pearson.
The board will meet today to elect its president for the coming year.
Labor Agitator Suspect Sought
Anaheim police today are seeking a woman whom they believe to be a labor agitator.
Shortly before noon today two women drove up to the Western Fruit Growers packing house and one of them entered the office and engaged A. J. Miller, manager, in conversation. During the conversation the woman launched into a tirade about unfairness to labor. She then departed.
Police checked the license number of the automobile and found it was registered to Min Behnke, 6506 Hood street, Huntington Park.

The victory over Riverside Tuesday came only after a torrid scrap. Stinchfield and Jacobs-meyer hooked up in as neat a pitching duel as one could desire that produced five and a half

enabled Anaheim to romp off with an easy win.
The victory over Riverside Tuesday came only after a torrid scrap. Stinchfield and Jacobsmeyer hooked up in as neat a pitching duel as one could desire that produced five and a half scoreless innings. Anaheim's first tally came in the sixth when Red Stives, long distance hitting catcher, lofted one into left-center field for a home run. Jacobsmeyer gave 'up his second run in the seventh and gave way in the eighth to Rudy Heman.
Higgins, Wiseman and Daley accounted for seven of Anaheim's 10 safeties, the tall first-sacker rapping out three.
Tomorrow evening at the Anaheim park the Valencias make a bid for a higher notch in the standings when they tangle with the second-place San Bernardino club. The Stubbys licked Santa Ana Tuesday, 5 to 4, to move into second place. The Stars dropped from a tie for first to third place during the week's play.
