was assigned to take charge of the door.
As in previous years 70 per cent of the proceeds will be kept in Anaheim and 30 percent will be sent to the President to be presented to the Warm Springs Foundation in Georgia.
The program will be much the same as has been followed in other Birthday balls. Dancing will start at 9 o'clock and at 10 o'clock an intermission will be held at which time a short talk will be given by the guest speaker and the entertainment will be presented. At 11 o'clock the birthday cake will be cut and served.
Card tables will be placed in the lobby of the club for those who do not wish to dance.
Tickets, which are 75 cents, are now on sale. Each organization will appoint one member to handle sales for that group.
H. H. Benjamin will again act as treasurer for the fund. Trustees of the fund are Mrs. C. A. Neighbors, Miss Dorothy Yungbluth and Miss E. Kate Rea, president of the Orange County Clippled Children's Relief association.
During the past year this committee has given relief to several children, it was said, and further work is anticipated.

State Employment Service Effective
More than $1,000,000 were saved to workers of the state during 1936 by the California State Employment service, Director Roy S. Stockton declared today in announcing his organization had placed 249,593 persons in jobs, paying prevailing rates of wages.
The savings, he states, are based on an estimated average of five dollars per job which workers placed have had to pay to fee charging agencies for the same service.
Year-end statistical compilations just completed of the service's operations indicate the total figures exceeded the 1935 mark, of 131,795 by 89 percent.
At the same time, new applications received from workers, who visited the statewide offices for the first time during the year, declined 27.2 percent. The figures show 281,466 registrations were taken as against 386,496 in 1935.
According to the statistical record, the employment offices now have 170,741 unemployed persons still actively registered for work. This decline of 43.7 percent, it is pointed out, from the total of 303,338 applications on file during the previous twelve-month period.
