They know that natural gas cooks much faster than other methods — enables them to spend less time in the kitchen! They know that only gas gives a complete range of temperatures, for every kind of cooking. And it costs about a third as much! Indeed, the difference in the operating expense of gas cooking and the cost with another method will pay for a new, modern gas range! Can you afford to be without one? Cash Prizes for Letters are Offered In Campaign Readers of the Anaheim Gazette are being offered top-notch rates for a little writing during the coming few weeks—rates that would be considered by the nation's leading writers as very good. For writing a 200-word letter, it is possbile to win a total of $20. That means ten cents a word. Lesser prizes also are being offered. You can win $5 by writing the best letter in your community. These awards are being posted by the Orange County Good Government League, formed to support the candidacy of Le Roy Lyon for supervisor. Details of the contest will be found in a display advertisement in this issue. Briefly the letter is to outline "Why I shall vote for Le Roy Lyon for supervisor." The advertisement tells the rules and gives pointers for the guidance of the writer. Letters should be directed to this paper. They will be turned over to the executive committee of the League, who will turn them over to judges outside the Third Supervisorial district. All letters must be in by October 28, and prizes will be distributed as soon as possible thereafter.
