Orchestra Formed At Marywood Directed by Leland Auer, an orchestra was organized Tuesday morning at the Marywood high school music room. Beginning students have been especially invited to try out for the group as they will be given special attention by the director. This musical activity is in addition to the complete list of stringed instruments which have been taught at the school in the past. Football Motif Chosen for Benefit Party A football season motif has been chosen for the benefit card party which will be held October 17 at the Elk's club house under the sponsorship of the American Legion auxiliary. An additional attraction will include a tea and fashion show at 3:30 o'clock for the special interest of guests who do not care to play cards. All Anaheim dress shops are contributing selections to the show. Gowns will be modeled by well known members of local social groups. Reservations for the affair may be made with Mrs. Margaret Boysen, phone 3055, or Mrs. Betty Liebhart, phone 4172. Approximately 80 tables are already expected to be in play during the afternoon. Legion auxiliary members are planning a series of trips to the Veterans hospital at Sawtelle where the organization has adopt- ed a ward. This will continue the custom of last year.
