Hill Billy Band to Appear Hallowe’en
A public address system, furnished by the Richfield Oil company, will be used at the horse show and for other features of the annual Hallowe’en celebration, October 30 and 31, it has been announced by George W. Reid, secretary of the chamber of commerce.
Reid also announced the Hill billy orchestra which entertained here on Dollar Day will also be in town for the two-day celebration to furnish music along the streets during the days.
Sandpaper Edging Machine is Stolen
Arnold Lund, 1122 Lincoln avenue, reported to Anaheim police early Saturday morning that an electric sandpaper edging machine valued at $200 had been stolen from his automobile sometime between 1:30 and 2 o'clock in the morning.
The machine had been stolen from the rumble seat of the automobile as it was parked in front of 825 N. Palm street, Lund told police.

Homecoming and Rally Services to be held Sunday, Monday
Rally Day and Homecoming services are planned for the Temple Methodist church Sunday and Monday, it was announced today by the Rev. R. Kells Serton. The church is located the corner-of Broadway and adelphia streets.
The morning service began at 9:30 o'clock, will present a gram by the children and people which includes not music and readings but a play, "The King's Business." Pastor will give an illustrated mon on "there Go the Ships."
In the evening at 7 o'clock there will be an impressively dale lighting installation ceremony and the pastor will preach on Call to Go Forward." This be a special young people's service, it was said.
Monday evening the Temple will hold a homecourty rally banquet at 6:30 o'clock which will be in the form of a hered dish supper. Following entertainment period the parish will speak on "The Challenge the Great Task."
"It is hoped that both in attendance and interest may prove to be the most while occasion in the history of the church," Rev. Swenerton today.

WHITE TEMPLE PLANS EVENTS
Homecoming and Rally Day Services to be Held Sunday, Monday
Rally Day and Homecoming services are planned for the White Apple Methodist church Sunday. Monday, it was announced by the Rev. R. Kells Swenan. The church is located at corner-of Broadway and Philadelphia streets.

Poultry Group to Have Picnic Here
The annual joint picnic of the poultry department of the Orange County Farm bureau, the Orange county unit of the Poultrymen's Cooperative association and feed dealers of Orange county will be held at the Anaheim city park tonight at 6 o'clock, it has been announced.
A pot-luck dinner, supplemented with ham, coffee and dessert, will be served. The O'Brien Trio, musicians from the Orange County School of Fine Arts of Anaheim, will provide the entertainment.
Royal J. Mueller, recently returned from a trip to Germany, will tell of some of the rural conditions in that country.

Townsends Pleased With Party’s Plank
The action of the state republican convention in Sacramento of including a plank in its party platform urging a fair hearing for the Townsend Recovery plan, today was hailed as a Townsend by residents of this city and in the surrounding area has been highly satisfactory. Ralston said today.
