Beautiful Floral Ceremony transfers Leadership of Club to Mrs. William P. Webb, Jr. Bringing to a close another successful and eventful year for the naheim Ebell club, leadership was transferred Monday from the pable hands of Mrs. Leo J. Friis who has been a most gracious and ergetic president, to those of Mrs. William P. Webb, Jr., in whom the club members have placed their confidence for guidance through the coming year. As Mrs. H. D. Newkirk installed the new officers he borrowed the Aloha Oe and lei custom of our neighboring islands, adding farewell to the retiring officers and welcoming the incoming group, placing about the shoulders of Mrs. Friis and Mrs. Webb leis fresh bright colored pansies, and leis of sweet scented light shadedweetpeas as tokens for the other officers. Serving with Mrs. Webb throughout next year will be Mrs.olly Markle, 1st vice president; Mrs. A. P. M. Brown, 2nd vice-president; Mrs. A. G. Porter, 3rd vice-president; Mrs. J. E. Baker, recording secretary; Mrs. R. M.altz, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Frank Tausch, financial secretary; Mrs. George Holden, treasurer; Mrs. Roy Mendoza, auditor; Mrs. B. N. Ashley, curator; Mrs. Arthur Wilmsen, librarian; Mrs. H. Benjamin, parliamentarian; Mrs. E. P. Hapgood, historian; Mrs. eo J. Friis, Mrs. C. A. Harbeson and Fred Weisel, directors. As the members of the club and guests assembled at the K. P. hall they were delighted with the pretence, dainty, and somewhat formal arrangements of the tables and decorations. Pink and white made most pleasing combination for the setting of this significant afternoon program, with white pottery and crystal bowls of primoses, larkspur and snapdragons, for their kind co-operation as members of her committee. Presentation of the past-president's pin was made by Mrs. Weisel upon behalf of the members, expressing their deep appreciation for the wonderful leadership of Mrs. Friis during the past year. As a most fitting climax to the afternoon program immediately preceding the installation ceremonies members of the Drama section of the club, under the direction of their leader, Mrs. Walter Ross, presented a one-act comedy drama, "Green Eyes from Romany," by Kirkpatrick. The many trials and tribulations of the club women in the last hectic hour before opening the charity bazaar were portrayed cleverly and characteristically by the cast, which included Mrs. C. A. Neighbors as Fannie Meadows, the club president; Mrs. C. A. Sisson as "Cousin Winslow." M. D. Falconer's On Vacation Mr. and Mrs. Marion D. Falconer of East Alberta street left Friday night for a six week's tour of the United States and Canada. Mrs. Daisy Brown and Miss Beatrice Gregor, two aunts of Mrs. Falconer, will join the family at Riverside. They are to go to Ontario, Canada, where they will visit a third aunt of Mrs. Falconer's. The trip will be made by way of Grand Canyon to Kentucky where Falconer will visit an uncle, Rev. George Bell and family. The party also expect to stop at Buffalo and are to return by way of Yellowstone. Mrs. H. G. Bertham, Mary the maid; Mrs. H. G. Collins, Emily Prescott; and Mrs. Thomas Kemp, Madge Kieler. Mrs. Brown assisted Mrs. Ross with the directing, and Mrs. Arthur Kenper and Mrs. Ben Hein with the stage setting. Relinquishing her leadership to Mrs. Webb, Mrs. Friis mentioned briefly some of the accomplishments of the past year, naming their high honor float in the Armistice day parade, the founding of the drama section, the success of the flower show and of the fashion tea, the increase in membership, which is now 186, their community welfare achievements and interclub relationship. As a final tribute Mrs. Friis presented SPECIAL LOW PRICE ON THIS NEW 1936 LEON 5 Cubic Foot Model Only $129.50 DELIVERED Backed by a 5-YEAR Protection Plan ACT NOW! By Factory Consent Explaining the necessity for the special election on the school bonds, Arval Morris spoke briefly. He told of the present conditions of the buildings and the benefit to be derived to the community upon the passage of the bonds. Reports were given by the various section leaders, officers and committee chairmen, all showing a great deal accomplished during the past year. Miss Florence Backs gave a splendid report on the activities of the Junior Ebell club, and Miss Winifred Hapgood represented the High School Ebell club, extending an invitation to all members of the Senior club to attend the tea at the home of Mrs. Harry B. Pearson Saturday afternoon, June 6. Mrs. Webb brought a message from the State Conference at Sacramento where many noted speakers were heard. In the absence of Mrs. Pearson, Mrs. C. A. Neighbors gave the report of the board of directors, stating that the club's building fund has a balance of approximately $7000. Further reports were given by Mrs. Newkirk, Miss E., Kate Rea, Mrs. T.
