How many toad's ja ketch?" and so the hew and cry traveled down the alleys and bi-ways after they successfully made a get-away from the city park and Superintendent Rudy Boysen last Saturday morning...and then..... Well it's a sorry tale mates...it seems there's a new cult in the offing...toad snatchers...is what Rudy terms them and he couldn't figure out what was what until... Saturday afternoon, the Umpah of the Wart (wart meaning the enlarging of the vascular Papillae and the epidermis covering) himself entered the confines of the city park (park meaning, by the way in English law...an enclosed piece of ground stocked with beasts of the chase) so the Umpah (named gleaned from sound eminating from the esophagus caused by leaning over suddenly) stepped out into the wilds and prepared to capture the elusive Bufo Vulgaris (yep, still talking about toads)...and who could blame him when he, being a lawman...undoubtedly knowing the English Law would enter the confines of a park (see description of Eng. Law above). But the poor kids...all they got was a nickel per each and a calling from the Big Bad Wuff of the Park detail and poor Bill all Lemon Growers To Meet May 12 Next Tuesday, May 12, 1:30 P.M., has been set for the annual lemon growers field day and tour in Orange County.
