New Englanders To Picnic on July 13 What? The New Englanders Summer Picnic Reunion. Who? Every one from New England resident or visitor. Where? Bixby Park, Long Beach. When? All day Saturday, July 13th. Why? Just to meet old time friends and neighbors. This means you and your friends, if you ever lived in Maine, X. H. Vt., Mass. R. L. or Conn. Again Why? To spend a day in the park near the ocean. This will be the first summer reunion by the sea of the New Englanders of all Southern California so let us make it a delightful and happy reunion. D. Miller, secretary-treasurer of the Orange County Production Credit Association located at Santa Ana, California. This, said Miller, represented 7,253 loans closed, including renewals, of livestock operators, dalrymen, poultry producers and general farmers in the four western states. As an index to the rapidly increasing volume of business transacted by these cooperative associations of farmer-borrowers under the Farm Credit Administration, Mr. Miller points to the fact that in the first fifteen months, from time of organization to December 31, 1934, the total amount of loans closed was $12,736,940, while in the five-and-a-half months since the first of this year, business accomplished has totalled $12,953,322.
