Anaheim, April 1, 1871.
In the absence of President Zeyn the meeting was called to order by Vice-president D. Strodthoff. Present: Schneider, Bittner and Kuelp. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Treasurer reported cash on hand $40.27, and original shareholders have $303.00 to their credit.
Zanjero reported having lost 15 hours of water in the past week, also reported all the upper ditches in good condition.
Bill for labor, $19.00, ordered paid. Owing for the great demand of water, resolved to run water in two heads, day and night at the rate of 3 hours for $1.00.
The proposition of John Fischer to put a three-way gate in main ditch between lots 1 & 4, he would pay two-thirds and the company to pay one-third, accepted.
Zanjero was instructed to use every possible means to bring a good full head of water into Anaheim. Messrs. Strodthoff and Schneider appointed as committee to inspect main canal and conditions at river to report at the next general meeting. Water sales $80.00. Meeting adjourned.

Regular general meeting of stockholders of Anaheim Water Co., called to order, in absence of President Zeyn by Vice-president Strodthoff. Roll call showing quorum present the treasurer's and secretary's reports for the last 6 months were read and submitted to committee of Fischer, Korn and Luedke to audit.
Recommendation of Mr. Strobel to extend the main canal of Anaheim Water company as far up the canyon as possible or practical for an intake in that way protecting our rights to the water. Moved by Mr. Schneider and carried, that Anaheim Water company proceed at the earliest time possible to lengthen members present. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Main canal committee reported progress.
Following bills were ordered paid: $17.13 and $48.25, labor; $10.84 to H. Bennerschied, cooking utinsels; $5.90 Ashcroft & Pryor, meat; $27.06 Langenberger & Co., for tools; $25.00 committee duty; $10.00 F. W. Kuelp, salary.
Treasurer reported cash on hand $95.51, original cash $403.00.
Wm. Davis paid his last installment on lot 2, $20.
Resolved to call a meeting of all committees at the home of President Zeyn, Monday, May 8th at 7:30 p.m.
Water sales $22.00. Meeting adjourned.

Anaheim, May 13, 1871.
Meeting of board of trustees called to order by President J. P. Zeyn. All members present. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Treasurer reported no cash on hand. Original stockholders fund $423.00.
F. W. Kuelp moved that $400.00 be taken from original fund and each stockholder be credited with $8.00 per share. All voted in favor except D. Strodthoff.
Bill of $51.75 labor, ordered paid.
Secretary submitted formula for right of way receipts, which were accepted and ordered printed.
F. W. Kuelp appointed committee of one to attend the trial in the county court at Los Angeles, May 24, of the Santa Ana Irrigation Co. vs. Marcus Yorba et al.
Zanjero instructed not under any condition to deliver water to city lot owners, unless they place the necessary gates.
Decided the board as a whole to visit the new district west of Anaheim to acquaint themselves with conditions regarding delivery of water time May
to order, in absence of President Zeyn by Vice-president Strodthoff. Roll call showing quorum present the treasurer's and secretary's reports for the last 6 months were read and submitted to committee of Fischer, Korn and Luedke to audit.

Election of a new board of trustees was then in order. Messrs. Fischer and Korn appointed to act as committee.
The old board of Messrs. Zeyn, Schneider, Strodthoff, Bittner and Kuelp were unanimously elected. Meeting adjourned.

Meeting of board of trustees called to order in absence of President Zeyn, by Vice-president Strodthoff. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Newly elected board of trustees then organized as follows: John P. Zeyn, president; D. Strodthoff, vice-president; F. Schneider, treasurer; F. W. Kuelp, secretary.
The treasurer reported $112.52 cash on hand and $363.00 due original shareholders.
Labor bill from zanjero, $23.60 and $3.38, Langenberger bill, ordered paid.
Moved by Schneider, and carried that in future the list for the week of water sales be made out by zanjero and secretary, and that they also figure out a better plan of distribution, or runs, and submit such plan at next meeting.
Moved by F. W. Kuelp and carried, that F. Schneider and D. Strodthoff act as committee to begin at once, preparations for the extension of our main canal.
H. Nickerson applied for right-of-way on ten acres.
On motion of F. W. Kuelp, resolved that an assessment of 10 dollars per share (50 cents per acre) be and is hereby levied on the capital stock of the company, payable immediately in U.S. gold coin, to the treasurer, and that any stock on which said assessment shall be unpaid on the 19 day of May, shall be deemed delinquent, and be advertised for sale at public auction on the 3rd day of June, 1871. Secretary instructed to have this notice published according to the by laws. Water sales $41.00. Meeting adjourned.

Meeting of Board of Trustees called to order by President J. P. Zeyn. All members present. Minutes of last meeting read an adapproved.
Mr. Kuelp reported having attended the hearing of the case of Santa Ana Irrigation Co. vs. Yorba et al., and that result was satisfactory. Committee rendered report on extension of main canal. Saune was accepted.
Treasurer reported $309.17 cash on hand, $23.00 in original stockholders account. Following bills ordered paid: Zanjero's salary and labor, $67.00; committee work $11.50; F. W. Kuelp expenses to Los Angeles to attend trial, $20.00.
A communication from Mr. D.Kraemer read and filed.
Water sales $24.00. Meeting adjourned.

Zanjero reported having lost 14 hours water the past week. Bill for labor, $21.75 and $5.00 to Anaheim Gazette for printing assessment notice, ordered paid.
Treasurer instructed to finally straighten out water right-of-way with John Fischer.
Moved and carried to sell to the highest bidder on next Saturday at 8 p.m. the street gate situated at Center and East streets. Resolved to run the water until further notice in one stream. Water sales $24.00.

Zanjero salary and labor, $75.75, ordered paid.
Secretary was instructed to write out formula for water right-of-way receipts, and submit same to board at next meeting. Water sales $44.00. Meeting adjourned.

Miscellaneous for construction of new ditch $198.38; zanjero bill $12.13. Tim Boege hauling $1.50; Langenberger, Blockman & Co., Lumber $8.75, Knox & Rumble, surveying $20.00. F. W. Kuelp as committee of one instructed to settle, or try to the water question with Mr. Kraemer.
Alex Henry applied for water right of way for 10 acres on Section 8, granted. Water sales $45.00. Meeting adjourned.

Meeting of board of trustees called to order by President J. P. Zeyn. All members present. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Mr. Kuelp reported having had a talk with Mr. D. Kraemer about the water question, and expected to have another conference in the near future.
Treasurer reported $100.43 cash on hand.
Bills ordered paid: Zanjero for labor, $14.13, and on new ditch $208.62. Zanjero was instructed to clean south branch ditch of sand. Water sales $50.00. Meeting adjourned.

Visiting State Chiefs Due Soon
California Cities Vie In Social Entertainment for Governors
Competing in friendly but warm rivalry, California cities are mapping programs of hospitality for the governors and their staffs who will arrive in this state July 23 for the 25th annual conference of governors.
Urged by Governor James Rolph, Jr. to strive their utmost to make the visit of the distinguished guests one of the most noteworthy in the annals of the conference, each host city and district is formulating plans for the reception under the general direction of William H. Woodfield, Jr., citizen aide to the governor for California hospitality, and Adjutant General Seth Howard, military aide. Festivities will start Sunday morning, July 23, at Tahoe when Governor Rolph will welcome the governors to California. Breakfast at Tahoe Tavern and a boat ride on the lake will complete the initial ceremonies.
The governors will motor to Sacramento via Placerville. The Sacramento reception will include a banquet by the city at the Hotel Senator, Governor Rolph's reception at his home, a stage coach ride around the capitol, and the opening conference and business session in the supreme court chambers. Plans for hospitality for Sacramento and the district north of the capitol are under the direction of James Dean, city manager of Sacramento.
San Francisco will welcome the governors with a military parade on their arrival in the Bay City late Monday afternoon, July 24. During their 60-hour stay they will be lavishly entertained with banquets and receptions and sightseeing tours. Conferences will be held during the afternoons of Tuesday and Wednesday, July 25 and 26. Mayor Angelo J. Rossi and Supervisor J. Emmet Hayden are directing San Francisco hospitality.
The governors will leave for the Yosemite national park Wednesday.

Meeting of board of trustees called to order by President Zeyn. All members present. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. Main ditch committee reported progress, and were allowed 8 days more to render report and bills.
Committee composed of President Zeyn, Schneider and Kuelp rendered report and were discharged.
D. Strodthoff reported that M. Angello stole 50 cents worth of water for city lot. Resolved to investigate matter.
Zanjero instructed to remove fences, and other obstructions from water alleys so that he may at all times and without loss of time pass over them.
Request of N. Kipps for placing gate in main canal, postponed to next meeting.
Bill for $100.13, salary of zanjero and labor, ordered paid.
A request from A. Gardener, read and left for action to next meeting.
The president reported Yorba's had been to see him and complained about the extension of main canal of Water company. Mr. J. P. Zeyn and F. Schneider were appointed a committee to confer with the Yorba's.
Resolved that the board of trustees visit the new canal next Wednesday, July 5. Water sales $39.00. Meeting adjourned.
