Robison from Auto Gifts Feature 1925 Christmas Gift Problem is Quickly Solved This Year by Accessories So widespread has the interest developed in motoring that Christmas this year will doubtlessly be marked as an automotive one. Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, which petition is as follows: TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF ORANGE, SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA: We, the undersigned, citizen owners of land located within the hereinafter proposed district, whose names appear as such owners of land upon the last completed assessment roll of the county in which all the acreage of said proposed district is situated, to-wit, Orange County in the State of California, hereby respectfully request your honorable body to organize into a public cemetery district under an act of the State of California, entitled "An Act to Provide for the Organization and Government of Public Cemetery Districts," as amended, the territory in said Orange County within certain boundaries, which boundaries are definitely described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Section 24, T. 4 S., R. 11 W., S. B. B. & M., said point being the Southwest corner of the Magnolia School District; thence, Northerly along section lines, 2 miles, more or less, to the Northwest corner of Section 13, said township and range; thence, Easterly to the South-east half (E½), of the quarter (SW¼), of the square (SW¼), of the shence, East to the Northeast one-quarter of the Southwest one-quarter of Section 12; thence, Northwest corner of the quarter (SW¼), of the square (NE¼), of the shence, East to the Northeast one-quarter of the Southwest one-quarter of Section 12; thence, Northwest corner of the quarter (NE¼), of the square (NE¼), of the shence, East to the Northeast one-quarter of the Southwest one-quarter of Section 7; thence, quarters of a mile, more... WANT A LOT OF NEW JOBS CREATED As soon as congress convened a swarm of interested persons, we are told their ranks are made up of "prominent educators," appeared with a demand for the creation of another government portfolio, another cabinet position—a secretary of education—with all the attendant assistants and clerks and stenographers and overhead expense and graft. To be sure, it is all done under the plea that it is in the interest of education. That is supposed to silence all protest. But the real milk in the coconut is to furnish a lot of new jobs at public expense, provide a way for another stream of money to escape from the national treasury, create easy berths for another bunch of political strikers and, incidentally, take another long step toward centralized government and remove control farther from the hands of the people. We have already far too much governmental meddling with things which should be handled by the people themselves. We are taking too many things out of the hands of the people and turning them over to the governmental agencies. We are overburdened now with bureaus and departments and commissions and inspectors. But if the demands of this new swarm of salary hunters are listened to we shall have still another bureau with an unlimited number of inspectors and superintendents. The control of our educational system will be removed still farther from the people and lodged in the hands of salaried government officials. What this country needs is a house cleaning that will do away with a whole list of bureaus and commissions and departments, not the creation of a new one. We need less instead of more governmental interference with the affairs of life. We need less "governing" and more of our boasted independence. The trouble is that interested groups organize for raids upon the treasury, while the people are unorganized in their protests. NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on the 22nd day of December, 1925, a certain petition was presented to the ANAHEIM_GAZETTE Earn Auto Supply Company's conception of the modern motorist's Christmas the car with its abundance of accessories For many years the value and appropriateness of automobile accessories and supplies was overlooked in the preparation of Christmas gift lists. The last few years, however, this list of presents has taken on a different meaning for automobile owners as there are thousands of new cars each week in addition to the automobiles already in use. Both the owner of the now and used car want to keep their possession looking its best and, as a result both friends and relatives have found that the most appropriate gifts are those which may be used on, or in connection with, the automobile. Gifts of every conceivable kind are included in the offerings featured for the car owner and they run the entire range of things both useful and ornamental. The prices too are varied, so that there is a suitable gift for every pocketbook. There is such an endless array of equipment dear to the heart of the auto owner that it is easy to decide upon a practical present. It is simply a matter of selection some article of equipment that the car now one-quarter Section lines, one and one-quarter miles, more or less, to the Northeast corner of the Northwest one-quarter (NW¼), of the Southwest one-quarter (SW¼), of Section 9, said T. 4 S. Daughter would "just adore" a cut glass flower vase and son would be pleased with an Aermore exhaust horn or a spotlight. There is also the opportunity to reciprocate for the many invitational trips, week end and vacation tours that thousands of non-owners enjoy throughout the year. There are dozens of accessories that would enhance the pleasure of travel and the befriended ones can show their appreciation of the year's cougasses by giving "something for the car." Complete as it may seem, there are always many fitments lacking to give the car owner the maximum of comfort and enjoyment when motoring. In preparing for a motoring Christmas, the Western Auto Supply Company has assembled a complete and comprehensive stock of automotive accessories from which the Christmas list can be selected.
