The Farmers Club and their friends to the number of fifty enjoyed a delightful outing on Thursday under the sycamore trees in Bedrock canyon at the point where the bluff looks romantically down upon the division gate in the river. Lewis' and Hahn's tally-hos carried a jolly party of some thirty-two, leaving town at 8 o'clock. The camping grounds are reached and the horses unhitched under the massive sycamores. The noon hour comes and then the feast. Don David Yorba drives up with the ox heads which he has been busy during the night roasting for the picnic. The tables are spread with the good things of this life, cold chicken, ham, spiced eggs, sandwiches, cheese, pickles pies, cakes, and cookies. Don David carves the heads and George Hunter prepares the coffee. After the luncheon games are played and some of the girls go wading. Later a mock trial is held when the president of the club, W. J. Fay, is charged with wife beating. M. L. Rogers and J. B. Rae are the complaining witnesses. Uncle Sam Hayes is pressed into service as the judge and Marshall Steadman summons a jury, Mr. Melrose is selected as prosecuting attorney and Henry Kuchel has the honor of defending the prisoner. After an hilarious trial the prisoner is honorably acquitted amid shouts of laughter. Late in the afternoon coffee was served and the crowd got aboard bidding the canyon good bye and the picnic was at an end.

Preparations Making Now to Receive the Visitors
According to announcement made at Scout Headquarters Saturday, all plans are being rapidly completed for the opening of Camp RoKILI, the Orange County Boy Scout Camp, located in the San Bernardino Mountains, on June 25th.
A slight extension in the water line was made last week by members of the Camping Committee, who journeyed to Camp Saturday. Several truck loads of supplies have already gone to Camp, and yesterday, Mr. Victor E. Teaney, who will act as Camp Director of the Camp, took a group of boys in, who will make the final preparations to receive the larger delegation scheduled to arrive on the 25th.
The equipment of the Camp has been enlarged so that a larger capacity can be taken care of this year than ever before, and in order to make it possible for San Bernardino County boys to have the advantage of camping this summer, arrangements have been made to have the San Bernardino Council Join with Orange County at the Camp. The San Bernardino County Council has selected a site near by which they will have the boys work on at intervals during the summer, so as to be fully prepared for next year's Camp. This will make three large Boy's Camps within a very short distance of each other. The Orange County Y. M. C. A. is located just a short distance from Camp RoKILI.
All Scouts expecting to go on the first period are urged to get their applications in immediately.
If noise were a sign of wisdom, the jackass would be the ring of beasts,
