Miscellaneous non-operating revenue amounted to $2,676,575.92. Interest, rent, taxes and other deductions totaled $8,597,578.68. The net corporate income for the year was $5,967,698.27. The surplus at the beginning of the year amounted to $5,463,257.91. Miscellaneous additions to surplus for 1923 amounted to $72,905,30 and miscellaneous deductions were $26,043.00. He plead guilty to both charges, and was fined $50. Glenn Hartranft, in company with his father, S. C. Hartranft, attended the Rotary club luncheon at Elks club house Monday. Glenn is rapidly stepping to the front as one of the world's greatest athletes, and will probably participate in the next Olympic games. He was given a noisy welcome by the Rotarians. Anaheim voters are pretty nearly all registered, but there are still a few mavericks who have not been gathered in. This is the last week for registration for the primary election. County Clerk Backs expects the figures in the county to reach 30,000 before the books close Saturday night. Orange county marriage licenses issued during March number 330, according to figures announced by County Clerk J. M. Backs. Although less than the number issued during February, which totalled 342, March licenses set a new record for the month, and revealed a marked gain over March, 1923, when 275 licenses were issued. All the bakers in the city raised the price of bread to twelve cents the first-of-the-month. The price of milk was also increased by the dairies. Berner died at the sanitarium Thursday, and funeral services were held at the Huddle parlors Monday afternoon. The body was cremated at Los Angeles. Mr. Berner had no relatives here. H. Okomoto died Sunday morning after a short illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Rev. Thomas Walker officiating. Okomoto was an uncle of the proprietor of the O. K. Grocery. Mrs. Marion Lafoon died at her home on Elm street Sunday afternoon. She was 76 years of age, and was born in Missouri. She leaves two sons, A. A. Lafoon of this city, and W. C. Lafoon of Los Angeles. B. Luktta of Placentia, is in the county jail charged with assault and battery. It is said he dragged his wife out of bed four days after the birth of a child, kicking and beating her until she is in a serious condition. Gibbs, E. J. Altnow, R. M. Fay and L. D. Miller were chosen elders, and the new board of trustees included Dr. H. A. Johnston, George Sloop, William Wallop, F. N. Gibbs, M. E. Beebe, Arthur Coons and H. G. Archibald. Mrs. Katherine Zitzmann died at her home in this city Sunday morning after a long illness, at the age of 78. The remains were taken to Backs, Terry & Campbell's parlors where funeral services were held with Rev. H. G. Schmelger in charge. The body was shipped to the family home at Omaha, Neb. for interment. Mrs. Zitzmann was the mother of Ernest Zitzmann, cashier of the American Savings Bank. Another son, William lives at Omaha.
