J. PLACENTIA XMAS MARKET Ladies of the Round Table Will Hold Entertainment December 7 The Placentia Round Table will hold a Christmas market at their new club house at the corner of Chapman and Bradford avenues, Placentia, on Saturday, December 7. The door will be open to the public at 8:30 A. M. and visitors will be welcomed and invited to visit the different booths and inspect the numerous and various wares displayed for sale therein. The object of this market is to raise money with which to pay off the indebtedness which this enterprising club incurred in building and furnishing the first and only women's club house in Orange county within the past year. A considerable amount has already been raised by subscriptions and by high class entertainments which have been heartily enjoyed by the community and which will be followed by many more. The Christmas market is under the management of Mrs. Sallie Madison and Mrs. J. Antonlette Nenno, ably as will be first to melt in your mouth. As you pass on, drop in at the cozy and inviting tea booth when a charming silvery-haired matron and her bewitching attendants will regale you with the "cup that cheers but does not inebrate." The candy booth will next lure you by its sweetness which is not contained in the home-made caramels and creams alone, but in the smiles of those who weigh them out for you as well, and you cannot help buying. Having satisfied the day's demands, you then call at the domestic booth and buy something good to carry home for your Sunday dinner. These articles are all home-made and will be enjoyed by those who are accustomed to eating from paper bags and tin cans. But before you go, don't fail to stop at the Christmas booth where so many dainty and useful articles of needlework that are suitable and appropriate holiday gifts will be shown to you by the artists in charge. And the doll booth, too, will attract you and you cannot resist the cunning little dears and buy one for the baby.
