When Blossom Seely joined Murray and Mack, she said, "Now this Dixie Daisy number would be awfully pretty with a chorus back of me; but I have never yet found a chorus that could dance at the tempo I do this number." The coming of Murray and Mack's "A Night on Broadway," calls to mind a story told some time ago, indicative of Ollie Mack's prevailing good humor. They had been having a week of one-night stands through Arizona, never sleeping in a hotel bed, and half the time unable to even secure sleepers. At last they reached Tombstone, where their agent had wired them, "Excellent hotel accommodations awaited them," only to find that through a fluke that agents are always making, no reservations had been made, and not one of the 40 people could find a place to lay their weary heads. They all grouped disconsolately in the office and billiard room of the main hotel, looking as blue and tired as a troup of one-night standers ever looked. When Mack suddenly threw his great coat on the nearest billiard table, exclaiming, "I love my Ostermoor, but O, you Billiard Table," and was soon lost in the arms of Morpheus.
