Mr. Schmidt is one of the four remaining pioneers of the original number of 50 who founded Anaheim, and at 84 is still hale and hearty, and as active as many men at 48. He goes to the city once a week to visit his daughter, Mrs. Dr. Bullard, and other relatives, and is never better satisfied than, with children and grandchildren around him, he tells them of his experiences in this new land half a century ago.
